Customer proprietary information system
Kojecký, Jan ; Roupec, Jan (referee) ; Heriban, Pavel (advisor)
The work deals with the development of custom business information systems for ISPs. The information system consists of two main modules – the user module, which manages all the necessary data and hardware module, which contains information on technical equipment and network infrastructure of company with links to transmitted data monitors. The information system is running on Linux server.
Usage of Design Patterns in Software Development
Volf, Jiří ; Bartík, Vladimír (referee) ; Kreslíková, Jitka (advisor)
The objective of my MSc Thesis was to map over reasons, why are design patterns so popular in the modern information systems and other applications development. It is considering with the basic aspects of object-oriented systems, expounds the importance and structure of design patterns. The explication is followed by categorization of design patterns and in more detail is focused on the most frequently used design patterns including their contribution or complications, which could eventually occur. The advantages of design with design patterns are demonstrated on practical example of database application.
UML and model driven development
LANGER, Jiří
The UML language currently presents functional norm which is used during application development at analysis and design stage. Actual version 2.0 offers total of 13 different diagram types, which cover miscellaneous phases of application development. The goal of this dissertation work is to briefly summarize progress of the UML language, to present current state and to show the potential usage of certain subset of this language in opening courses of programming for both bachelor students and students of pedagogy. In this connection will be necessary to focus on finding suitable software tool (for educational needs), which would be possible to use in the opening course or eventually in tuition of special modelling focused courses. The author of dissertation work will prepare concrete project propositions and resolutions for tuition in opening course with the usage of the UML. The inspiration for these projects may be the ``Objects First with Java{\crqq} book and also sources on the web. I see the focal point of the work in use of the UML language to prepare bachelor students and students of pedagogy for derive benefits from actual technologies both in the developer and educational profession.
MS SQL Application Development Framework
Hanes, Marek ; Kopecký, Michal (advisor) ; Hoksza, David (referee)
Title: MS SQL Application Development Framework Author: Bc. Marek Hanes Department: Department of Software Engineering Supervisor: RNDr. Michal Kopecký, Ph.D. Supervisor's e-mail address: kopecky@ksi.mff.cuni.cz Abstract: The thesis deals with a database application development and tries to find ways to optimize the most common problems encountered. The goal of this thesis is to design and develop a modular framework that simplifies the database application development and prevents inexperienced users from using unsafe SQL statements and/or expressions. The example of such a statement can be the insert statement without explicit column list, unsafe XPath expression, etc. The framework provides among others manipulation with history tables allowing versioning of data and reverting unwanted data changes asynchronous and parallel SQL execution support, error management and logging support, monitoring of schema changes as well as procedure and function debugging Together with means of data manipulation, the framework provides the simple way of publishing stored procedure as web service as well. The framework is accompanied by well-written programmers and users guide to allow its further development. Keywords: application development, framework, modular design, safe statements, constraints 1
Návrh a implementace způsobu pohybu v mobilní aplikaci pro virtuální realitu
Jaroš, Petr
The diploma thesis focuses on the issue of movement and interaction in virtual reality and then shows the design and concrete example of the application.
Comparison of major paradigms for application development
Hartman, Michael ; Procházka, Josef (advisor) ; Jeřábek, Tomáš (referee)
4 ABSTRACT This thesis deals with comparison of major paradigms for application development, namely procedural, object oriented and functional paradigm. First chapter consists of brief history of application development with emphasis on the paradigms being used. Second chapter introduces main principles and constructs, which are these paradigms based on. For some of which, especially the more complicated ones, examples are included to facilitate easier understanding of the subject. The thesis also contains analysis of existing projects, which are using described paradigms and model implementation of simple application using each of given paradigms. This whole thesis focuses on comparison of the described paradigms and differences among used principles and constructs. The advantages and disadvantages of analyzed paradigms for different types of projects are discussed in chapter four. Based on conclusions of this paper, it is best to use procedural paradigm for development of simple and small projects. For more complex projects of larger scale, it is better to use object-oriented paradigm. Functional paradigm could be used for any type of project, but it has higher requirements for the experience and level of abstraction of the developer who implements the project.
