INTERROGATION TACTICS The purpose of this diploma thesis is to systematically summarize knowledge and information about fundametal tactics and methods of an interrogation used in interrogation practice. Knowledge of these procedures is necessary for proper execution of an interrogation and also is suitable for legal practice. The thesis consists of 4 main chapters, each of them deals with relevant issues within the field of an interrogation. The First chapter "Interrogation as a forensic method" includes general discussion about an interrogation and a statement such as definitions of basic concepts, definition of a nature and a purpose of an interrogation. In addition to further this chapter also contains analysis and evaluation of Czech legislation governing the interrogation. The Second chapter "Preparation of an interrogation" is focused on a preparation of an examiner before an interrogation as one of important elements to succesfully realize itself interrogation and to achieve its goals. The Third Chapter "Interrogation tactics" first concetrates on particular phases of an interrogation namely an introduction phase, a monologue and a dialogue where emphasize issues of questioning in practice. The Specifics of Children Interrogation

Title of thesis: The Specifics of Children Interrogation Keywords: interrogation, child, sexual abuse Summary The thesis deals with specifics typical for interrogation of children, which means persons under eighteen years old. Unlike adults, a child psyche is characterized by many specifics that have to be considered during interrogation as well. The aim of the thesis is to point to basic specifics related to interrogation of children situated in various procedural positions - either in the position of aggrieved, witness or accused. The character of offense, and the part a child has taken in committing it, influences interrogator's approach and overall choice of tactics. Only a properly conducted interrogation can bring enough information useful in pretrial and following trial proceedings. For clarity the thesis is divided into two basic parts, namely the legal part and the criminal psychological part. First Part: Legal Aspects First chapter informs about basic terms I use in the thesis - it determines the terms of a child, a minor, children under fifteen, it points out various concepts of interrogation. This thesis is focused on fate of Czechoslovak paratroopers who were arrested by Nazi forces after being dropped into the territory of the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia. In several cases paratroopers turned themselves in to the police authorities voluntarily. The goal of this thesis is the analysis of paratroopers' behavior during the interrogations with focus on the information about the resistance and other paratrooper actions they gave to the Nazis. If the paratrooper was persuaded to collaborate with the Gestapo the thesis analyzes the collaborative activity and its results. Methodology of investigation of sexual offences Key words: child abuse, investigation, examination Summary This diploma thesis deals with issues in investigation of sexual crimes, particularly child sexual abuse. Sexual criminality is a very extensive topic, so I decided to aim the thesis for specifics of investigation related to abused children. The aim of the work is to characterise investigation regarding specifics typical for sexual offences. There is difference between adult and child victims. This must be considered in the process of investigation. Each person taking part in investigation should have achieved at least basic course in psychology. It is necessary to apply considerate approach to restrain from secondary victimization. The first chapter describes the term of sexual abuse, fundamental definitions and forms. Current legal regulations in the Czech Republic are analyzed there. The second part is devoted to criminological characteristics. This chapter is about offenders, victims and typical ways of commission. Criminality and Everyday Life of Vassals in Křivoklátsko Area in the Late Seventeenth and at the Beginning of the Eighteenth Century

The paper analyses the everyday life of Křivoklát vassals in the late seventeenth and at the beginning of the eighteenth century. As the primary source the author uses mainly the records of examination of sexual offenders. Individual cases are analyzed in details with the help of other primary sources in order to discover the patterns of everyday life behavior in the period. The importance of role of honor in the everyday life of early modern people and individuality of decision-making of their authorities are the main conclusions of this paper.
The Specifics of Interrogation of Minors

This thesis deals with interrogation of minors in course of criminal proceedings. In particular, the aim of the thesis is to basically describe differences between interrogations of minors and interrogation of adults categorised by individual procedural positions. The text focuses on interrogation of youngsters less than 18 years old in the position of witnesses. The thesis also discourses upon interrogation of minor perpetrators of criminal activity under the Juvenile Justice Act (in Czech zákon o soudnictví ve věcech mládeže) and takes into account provisions of the Criminal Victims Act (in Czech zákon o obětech trestných činů) focusing on right of interrogated victims on protection from secondary victimisation. The first chapter introduces point of view of individual branches of science in respect of the described topic of the thesis. The chapter determines fundamental terms used in the thesis, in particular the following terms: minor, interrogation and testimony. Ethical issues in the profession - Police of the Czech Republic

The theme of this bachelor thesis are the ethical issues in the profession - Police of the Czech Republic. The theoretical part contains the police ethics description and its development as well as a description of police officers training in this area. The theoretical part then continues with a section focused on communication between the police officer and the citizen. This section also includes a part about ethical violations by the police and penalties for these violations. The practical part consists of case studies, which were created based on real situations from police experience and their subsequent evaluation. In the discussion and conclusion, the thesis summarizes all the established facts.
Psychological aspects of interrogation of children.

This thesis entitled "Psychological Aspects of Interrogation of Children" deals with the psychological aspects of interrogation of sexually abused children aged six to twelve. The thesis is divided into two parts. The first section consists of five chapters and it focuses on theoretical knowledge. There is described expert knowledge about children´s development, interrogation, the output interrogation, i.e. testimony, and specifics of interrogation of children. The second part processes the results of the actual research. The research objective of the thesis was to identify psychological aspects which affect the interrogation of children, to determine and describe them. In this thesis qualitative research was used to achieve the aim, especially a part of the grounded theory method. In my research I termed eleven categories aspects which influence the interrogation of children. These categories are described in detail in the chapters entitled Result and they are discussed in detail. This thesis can serve to individual institutions involved in criminal proceedings concerning juvenile offenders as well as to general public.

The aim of the bachelor thesis The qualitative research of the communication strategies of the participants in accidents caused by alcohol or addictive drugs is to determine what communication strategies using participants in accidents caused under the influence of alcohol and addictive drugs. Qualitative research was conducted using a method semi-structured interview and by method observation during the interrogation participants of traffic accidents caused under the influence of alcohol and addictive drugs. The conclusion summarizes the different communication strategies identified during the research.
Disabled people as victims of crime

The paper is devoted to people with disabillities as a category of victims of crime with special needs, with particular focus on the mentally handicapped people as a particularly vulnerable group. The aim is to assess the current police approach to the mentally retarded as victims of crime and the resulting recommendations for appropriate police procedures and specific approach when working with the mentioned group of victims. The paper uses information gained from extensive analysis of documents with relevant topics. This information is supplemented by results of in-depth, structured interviews with handicapped people who had become victims of crime. The information obtained is analyzed and transferred by means of synthesis to specific recommendations that will be usable by police, to work with such a specific group of victims.
