Simulation Based Matchmaking Optimisation
Eštvan, Ivan ; Chlubna, Tomáš (referee) ; Milet, Tomáš (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis focuses on designing a working matchmaking system and simulation environment for a First Person Shooter like game and their implementation within Unreal Engine 4. It introduces various types of matchmaking systems used in today's games and explains some basic concepts used in Unreal Engine 4 to implement such environments. Implemented system then takes the input data, with information about players, creates matches by using our own matchmaking and performs a simulation of them, providing the simulation results of created matches for further analysis.
Painting in 3D Space Using Augmented Reality
Kořínek, Milan ; Špaňhel, Jakub (referee) ; Beran, Vítězslav (advisor)
The goals of this work are described and create an application in which the user can paint in 3D space of virtual and augmented reality. First, the solution of the elements that provide the possibility of painting is clarified. It also describes the processing of the environment in which the user moves and interaction with the application. Finally, it is described how to combine individual parts of the solution with special hardware for a virtual and augmented reality.
Collection and visualization of data from the vehicle driving simulator
Viater, Dominik ; Arm, Jakub (referee) ; Michalík, David (advisor)
In this bachelor thesis, I deal with the collection and visualization of data from a vehicle driving simulator. In the theoretical introduction, I deal with the description of the game engine Unreal Engine 4 and its editor, web server search, open-source database search. The practical part deals with data collection from simulation, comparison of two types of data collection, and then visualization of this data.
3D Demo for Holographic Display
Motyčka, Ondřej ; Milet, Tomáš (referee) ; Chlubna, Tomáš (advisor)
The goal of this bachelor thesis is to create a game demo application for holographic display with usage of Unreal Engine 4. Thanks for this unusual display, the player can immerse deeper in the game using its interactive components. All of the components are made directly for the holographic display and without it, they won't reach their full potential.
Dungeon Generator for Unreal Engine
Mořkovský, Samuel ; Vlnas, Michal (referee) ; Starka, Tomáš (advisor)
The work's purpose is to design and implement dungeon generator for a game engine Unreal Engine version 4. Plugin was selected as a form of work's result, which allows to integrate generator into an already existing project without the need to modify any source code. Parameters modifying the process of generation are passed from the user interface of Unreal Engine. Result of the process is a set of rooms and corridors connecting the rooms in a way that every room can be visited. All these objects are represented by 3D models in current level.
Verification of educational materials for teaching computational thinking in the Unreal Engine 4 environment
PACLT, Dominik
As part of my bachelor's degree, a set for teaching programming in the Unreal Engine 4 development environment was created. The main goal of this work is to verify whether the work is suitable for teaching programming or not. The theoretical part deals with the basic description of the Unreal Engine 4. It also deals with the description of the term "computer thinking" and its components. Subsequently, the principle of Action Research is discussed, through which the work is tested and assessment of whether the tasks support computer thinking. The practical part contains the results of action research both in terms of meeting the objectives of teaching in individual lessons, and in terms of leading to computer thinking. The appendix contains Tested worksheets for students and the projects solved by students in u nreal Engine 4. Within the GAJU STEM project, this work is u sed mainly in the technical field, as the individual lessons support algorithmic thinking, which is one of the foundations of technical fields. Furthermore, interdisciplinary relationships are strongly evident in the tasks, especially in mathematics and physics, because simple mathematics is evident in the tasks and the whole environment is situated in the simulation of the real world (from the point of view of Physics).
Creation projects for programming education in Unreal Engine 4 environmen
PACLT, Dominik
The bachelor thesis deals with the methodology of teaching the basics of programming at the second stage of elementary school through the environment Unreal Engine 4. The theoretical part deals with the description of the Unreal Engine 4 environment, together with the way of working in it. Furthermore, this environment is compared in terms of suitability for teaching programming with Scratch and MakeCode. The practical part contains the procedure by which I created and verified a set of tasks, according to which students learn the basics of programming and basic orientation in the Unreal Engine 4. The work also contains methodological materials for the teacher, including notes on the tasks. The attachment contains worksheets for students for individual lessons, a project in which students program with the help of worksheets and a sample project for the teacher with developed parts of the code.
