Commercial vehicles powertrains design
Krupa, Lukáš ; Suchý, Jan (referee) ; Fojtášek, Jan (advisor)
In this work there are described parts of powertrain of currently used commercial vehicles and their configurations depending on the conception and purpose of vehicle. Individual parts of powertrain are described in terms of both design solutions and operating principle. The work is of the retrieval of character and serves as a source of information about the issue. It can be used for example as a teaching tool for getting deeper knowledge about the topic of powertrains of commercial vehicles.
Modelling of Air Supply by Compressor for Fuel Cell
Tkach, Svitlana ; Kudláček, Petr (referee) ; Novotný, Pavel (advisor)
The growing demand for freight transport and the long-term trend towards low-emission on-road trucks are driving a lot of attention towards fuel cell technology. Nowadays, computer simulations can be used to analyse complex fuel cell processes, which facilitates the time and cost of development. In this thesis, a computational model of a fuel cell system with a focus on air supply analysis is presented. An improvement in the performance characteristics of the air supply system, and therefore the fuel cell, can be achieved by using a compressor. Based on the initial design, an analysis of the influence of the compressor parameters at the design point on its power input is performed. An increase in compressor speed and isentropic efficiency at the design point led to a decrease in the required power input, while an increase in the pressure ratio at the design point led to an increase. As the result of the diploma thesis, an efficient tool for achieving optimal parameters of the fuel cell air supply system while minimizing the compressor input power is presented.
Powertrain control systems of commercial vehicles
Fojtášek, Jan ; Kučera, Pavel (referee) ; Porteš, Petr (advisor)
This work deals with principle of operation and design of differentials and systems, which are used to regulate driving power of engine by commercial vehicles. It is a summary of findings about currently used traction control devices and about trends of these systems. This work provides an overview of powertrain control systems and it does not include own design solution. This summary of information could be used as a learning tool, that can help student to understand principles of described mechanisms and as an information source by developing custom design of powetrain control system.

Silniční daň s environmentálními prvky na Slovensku
Vlková, Radka
Bachelor thesis deals with the construction of road tax with an emphasis of envi-ronmental aspects in Slovakia and the possibility of application this system of road tax in the Czech Republic. The initial section, the Literature Review, gives a brief summary of various types of road taxes in member states of the European Union, further the construction of road tax in the Czech Republic and Slovakia is described in details. The main body contains technical information about selected sample of commercial vehicles and calculations of tax liability in the Czech Republic and all regions in Slovakia. Finally, the evaluation of the road tax system in Slovakia is performed and the possibilities of application of this system in the Czech Republic are purposed.
