Zoological preparation techniques in school practice

This thesis consists of description of chosen methods of permanent macroscopic zoological preparations. I verified successfully all the methods in practice and in case of methodological difficulties I optimized them for use in the school environment. In this work I answered the questions that could come up throughout the preparation process, for example: how to preserve the animal correctly; where to acquire the animal legally; what is the best way to maintain the animal's natural colour; what materials to use for the preparation and so on. According to current approaches I created not only a text based version of the manual of all verified preparation methods, but also an online version in form of a web site. To clarify the methods I included video sequences, photographs and schemes. With this e- learning course a teacher will be able to extend the school collection with his own preparations and also will be able to recognize what significant characteristics to point out. As a part of my work I have done a questionnaire focused on using various types of equipment in biology lectures. I have asked primary school teachers and high school teachers from all regions in the Czech Republic. This questionnaire was sent online and 322 out of 1636 people responded. The use of didactic tools in the teaching of vocational subjects

The aim of the thesis The use of didactic tools in the teaching of vocational subjects was to propose teaching aids and appropriate methods of their application in teaching vocational subjects on the basis of analyzing students' needs. The theoretical part is focused on gathering the necessary knowledge related to the issues in question, studying available professional literature and texts. At the beginning of the practical part the place where the questionnaire survey was carried out is described, followed by a detailed analysis of the results achieved complemented with a commentary. It has been discovered that the use of teaching aids at the school selected is effective and the teachers there are technically proficient and have a command of various kinds of educational technology. Based on the information gathered, it has been proposed to acquire a new driving simulator, another interactive whiteboard, to consider the possibility of using a voting system and teaching aids created by the author have been also presented.
Classical and modern educational materials and their comparison

Bachelor thesis deals with classical and modern educational materials. Based on the definition of terms related to material support teaching. The part of this thesis is the questionnaire survey. The questionnaire survey was realized in three selected secondary vocational schools from the region Pribram. This thesis compares and evaluates the use of teaching aids at selected schools. The questionnaire survey shows what educational materials selected schools use and how often it is used. The questionnaire survey also focused on the attitude of students to educational materials. There is also credited efficiency in the use of material didactic means in teaching. Finally, work recommendations are given for individual schools.
Design and realization of teaching instrument

Gradual wear and growing dissatisfaction with current panels for purposes of teaching the course „Logical control and programmable controllers“ has lead the Institute of Automation and Computer Science at Brno University of Technology to a decision to establish a new educational tool „LOGIK“. The tool is intended to facilitate practical verification of knowledge gained by students during this course. Students will have access to this device and will carry out various practical projects concerning combinational and sequential circuits. The general objective of this thesis is to design and subsequently construct this educational device so that is could be fully utilized during the course in near future.
Methodical support to creation of educational media

This thesis deals with possibilites and usage of "new media" in the educational process. The aim of this thesis is to describe the possibilities and refer to basic recommendations for the effective creation and usage. The thesis contains a description of digital educational presentations, application of audio, video and didactical computer applications and games. Every part presents an example of suitable software and its application. The thesis describes also present trends of used technologies and future expectations. At the end of the thesis, there is an analysis of present situation and suggested solution for the small primary school.
