Intanke and exhaust manifold for racing engine
Chuchma, Ondřej ; Zháňal, Lubor (referee) ; Beran, Martin (advisor)
This Master’s thesis is focused on design and optimalization of intake and exhaust system of the C20XE engine. It is four-cylinder gasoline engine with stroke volume of two litres, which was produced by car company Opel. This engine is determined for Opel Astra F automobile, that is build for racing. For optimalization of dimension parameters there is used a Lotus Engine simulation software, which simulates one-dimension gas flowing in manifold. 3D CAD models are made in Pro ENGINNER software.
Use of standard centrifugal pump as turbine
Podešva, Adam ; Franc, Zdeněk (referee) ; Habán, Vladimír (advisor)
This work deals with the use of a centrifugal pump in turbine mode and control of the system where this machine is operated. The introduction describes and divides the various types of pumps and discusses the issue of Euler's pump and turbine equations. The flow control options are also described here. Part of the work is a research that examines the advantages and disadvantages of using a centrifugal pump in turbine mode, the possibilities of using this system and real applications in the Czech Republic and in the world. The main part is the design of a mathematical model in Microsoft Excel, which solves the regulation of the piping system with a pump operating in turbine mode, especially out of the optimal operating parameters.
Regulatory and safety features hydraulic circuit
Smyček, Ondřej ; Hloska, Jiří (referee) ; Škopán, Miroslav (advisor)
This bachelor´s thesis is focused on safety and regulatory elements of hydraulics. The main objective is to deal with options which are offered today. The theoretical part is accompanied by a design of throttle valve in a shorted circuit for an exchanger, which is a part of the heat transfer station, type AQHS by the company Tenza, a.s. In this design, two calculating softwares are used and compared. The input data for the design are based on the already existing heat transfer station Dřevařská 31, 33.
