Analysis of the thermal resistance of insulation systems from foamed insulants in flat roofs
Rundt, Lukáš ; Žák,, Antonín (referee) ; Žižková, Nikol (advisor)
On many structures there ocurred a problem of expanded polystyrene-based thermal insulation material degradation caused by high temperatures close to glazed areas. In a theoretical part of this Master’s Thesis there are the most common thermal insulation materials described, followed by a brief desciption of flat roof waterproofing materials and a thermal stress of structures. An experimental part describes a design of a methodology for evaluation of thermal resistance properties of foamed insulants in flat roofs and several experiments carried out according to the methodology.
Study of thermal insulation materials in the construction of passive houses
Kornelová, Hana ; Nepivoda, Vladimír (referee) ; Sedlmajer, Martin (advisor)
This thesis describes mechanical and physical properties of selected types of isolations and the suitability of their use in passive house construction. Next part is focused on the possibilities of isolation materials anchoring. The aims of the thesis is to compare the properties of thermal insulants and their anchorages with regard to energy demands of passive houses.
Evaluation of Economic Efficiency of low-energy Construction
Sobola, Martin ; Klímová, Lenka (referee) ; Vaňková, Lucie (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is to assess the economic efficiency of A low-energy construction. The paper focuses on low-energy construction, its characteristics, devision, material options, methodology of evaluation and possibility of economic assessment in regard to investment costs. The practical part of the Bachelor paper focuses on comparing the investment and operating costs for the construction of low-energy house to a classic one. Further, there is a survey of public opinion researched in the form of opinion poll, which deals with the willingness to investmore money in a low-energy construction with a hope for future savings. The outcome of this thesis will present the calculation of returnability of an investment on the construction of a reference object in a low-energy version.
Study of waste utilization of insulating materials
Čermák, Jan ; Nováček,, Jaroslav (referee) ; Šťastník, Stanislav (advisor)
Thesis deals with options of use waste from insulating materials. Theoretical part of thesis describes waste and insulating materials used in civil engineering. Practical part of thesis describes utilization of waste from mineral wool. Its output are options of use waste from mineral wool and selected physical properties of recycled material.
Emissions Released During the Production of Selected Contact Thermal Insulation Materials
Horenský, Dominik
The topic of the thesis is the study of the influence of selected thermal insulation materials on climate change. Specifically, the amounts of CO2 and SO2 emitted into the atmosphere during the production of these materials are compared. The materials are chosen for contact insulation systems. The input data are from EPD (Environmental Product Declaration) databases that comply with ISO 14025. The aim is to present the production phase of the life cycle of building materials and the importance of their selection for emission reduction. Of the materials analysed, hemp performed best, achieving negative CO2 production and the lowest SO2 production of all, despite its greater thickness. The results can be used for further research due to the input data meeting the ISO standard.
