Energy-conscious building optimization
Ryšavá, Veronika ; Vyhlídalová, Karolína (referee) ; Horák, Petr (advisor)
The aim of the diploma thesis is to design austerity measures of an apartment building in the form of an energy card. The theoretical part deals with heat pumps. The computational part solves the evaluation of the current state of the building, the proposal of two variants, the assessment in terms of energy and economic and recommendations of the selected variant. There is also an experimental measurement specializing in thermovision imaging. The project contains energy certificates of individual states of the solved object.
Building for library purposes
Pastorková, Gabriela ; Blasinski, Petr (referee) ; Horák, Petr (advisor)
The aim of the Master’s thesis is to design near-zero energy library building in Kroměříž. The thesis is divided into three parts. The first part includes the architectural and structural design of the library. The building has two storeys. The first floor contains a lecture hall, a library, and technical facilities. The second floor contains another section of the library with a study space and facilities for employees, both floors are equipped with sanitary facilities. An accessible sanitary facility is located on the first floor. The building is founded on foundation strips supporting the load-bearing wall system made of ceramic blocks and a pre-stressed concrete roof and floor structure. The roof is designed as an extensive green roof, the roof over the entrance area is a warm flat roof. In the second part, I focus on designing selected building services. Key components include air-water heat pumps for heating and cooling, mechanical ventilation with heat recovery, LED-based lighting technology, and photovoltaic panels. The heating is provided by a hot water underfloor system, and rainwater management concept is designed as well. The building is assessed in terms of daylighting, acoustics, and thermal technology, including an Energy Performance Certificate. The third part of the thesis focuses on using thermography to identify potential thermal bridges. This section also encompasses the preparation of cost estimates for various insulation options, aiming to determine the optimal insulation solution for libraries that have been surveyed using a thermal camera. The analysis is focused on identifying a more cost-effective solution that provides optimal thermal insulation and minimizes construction costs. The thesis is created using ArchiCAD, BuildingDesign, Microsoft Office and Lumion software, along with the web portal DEKSOFT.
Prevence škod působených zemědělskou technikou na zvěři
Palacký, Jan
The subject of the work is the prevention of damage caused by agricultural machinery to game. Attention in the solution was focused on agricultural machinery and mechanization used in pre-sowing soil preparation. Based on the identification of conflicts between small game and the used agricultural mechanization, related significant environmental aspects were identified. The thesis deals with the levels of biodiversity, environmental agricultural mechanization, which is conflicting from the point of view of wildlife. Individual species of small game that are injured or killed during these works are also identified. Based on the identified environmental aspects, related legal requirements were set. The result of the work is the determination of suitable methods for the prevention of these damages. As part of the design of technology, a suitable perspective method was selected for verification - measures to prevent and minimize damage to game. The method of monitoring with observational thermovision was chosen for the research, thanks to which it was possible to search for endangered young hares in selected localities together with the nesting grounds of the Lapwing with the aim of expelling them or marking them enabling subsequent fixation. Based on the performed monitoring, it was found that the use of manual thermal imaging can be used for active protection of small game.
Report on the structural survey of Judith's Tower in Prague 1. Part II
Drdácký, Miloš ; Kloiber, Michal ; Frankl, Jiří ; Zíma, Pavel ; Wolf, Benjamin
For the intended restoration of the object, a survey of structures that show faults or for which knowledge of material characteristics is needed for calculations confirming the reliability of the structures was requested. During the implementation of the order, there were difficulties that affected the necessity of its execution in two stages. The user of the tower cooperated with the authors of this report without any problems, and therefore it was possible to carry out the work listed below in the necessary scope and quality.

Use of thermal imaging to determine the effect of ecstasy on the overheating of human organism
Kováčová, Tereza ; Svěcená, Kateřina (advisor) ; Minařík, Jakub (referee)
Basis: Ecstasy is often seen as a non-addictive substance, which can cause dehydration and dangerous overheating of the human body. Despite the fact that these side effects are often described in literature, ecstasy remains one of the most popular illegal drugs used in the dance scene. Objective: The main aim of the research was to prove the effect of ecstasy (MDMA) on human thermoregulation and on the subsequent overheating of the organism. Meanwhile we demonstrate that thermal imaging can be used to measure statistically significant differences in temperature in respondents currently under the influence of ecstasy versus sober respondents. The secondary aim was to assess the effect of the amount of used ecstasy on the resulting temperature of the organism. Methodology: Thermal quantitative data were obtained as physical measurements by thermal imager. Next to that, additional information was collected in the form of a brief structured interview with respondents. The research cohort consisted of 14 respondents of the control group who had not used any addictive substance before the measurement and 25 respondents of the study group who were currently under the influence of ecstasy (MDMA). Body temperature was measured in the face area, while a methodologically appropriate area of the inner corner...

Microstructural Defects of Solar Cells Investigated by a Variety Diagnostics Methods
Škvarenina, L’ubomír
This paper discusses the application of a variety diagnostic methods applicable to the solar cells. More objective results about solar cells quality and reliability are possible to obtain by using a various methods. Diagnostic methods described in this paper are based on a dark and illuminated J–V characteristics, a investigation of noise in a wide range of frequency and a radiation detection at a di erent spectral range, namely by an electroluminescence and a thermography method. These methods are primarily more appropriate for a detection or a localization of microstructure defects when a reverse-bias stress is applied. However, the analysis of a forward-bias conditions is included in an investigation of J–V characteristics as well.
