ABSTRACT: This thesis is focused on the interpretation of novels writen by writer Božena Viková Kunětická. An important role in the interpretation of works plays context in which currency are the works built. Interpreting the works of contemporary issues is supported women's issues and the status of women in public and domestic spaces. The first part is the atmosphere of the period in terms of the women's movement. The second part is dedicated to the interpretation of four novels Božena Viková Kunětická. The main theme of novelistic creation is a woman in several different roles and perspectives on marriage, motherhood or adolescence. Interpretation of the novel creation of Božena Viková Kunětická closes its comparison with the writer Ružena Svobodová, which was devoted to his work in a similar topic. Intimate literature of Teresa de la Parra

The diploma thesis follows work and new literary approach of the authoress Teresa de la Parra. It deals with the political and cultural situation in her environment, it tries to delimit her position in between women of Hispano-American literary scene, as are e.g. Alfonsina Storni, Gabriela Mistral or Victoria Ocampo, and at the same time it tries to manifest the "divergence" of her literary output. It deals with the problematic of woman's position on both thematic and sociological grounds, so as to subsequently explain authoress' view of this whole issue and of surrounding society in general. The main aim of this work is the analysis of authoress' both novels (Ifigenia, Memorias de Mamá Blanca) and at the same time as deep as possible portrait of this Venezuelan authoress who is almost unknown nowadays. Female Figures in the 19th Century Literature

The content of this Bachelor thesis is to map the physical representation of female characters, their actions and social situating in selected novels of the 19th century. There will be characterization of the typical elements of the novel and the thesis will focus on analyzing the views of the social inclusion of women in realistic novels. The aim is to make the typology of female characters and their fates in novels: Anna Karenina by Leo Tolstoy, Madame Bovary by Gustave Flaubert and Frantina by Karolina Světlá. On the basis of this typology, the thesis will analyze the social and moral issues of woman at this time.

National mentality as a factor affecting the status of women in business

The first part of the introductory chapter analyzes the concept of national mentality and the factors that affect the national mentality. In the second part of this chapter is monitored development of women'status in society. In the second chapter is described the current status of working women in the Slovak Republic in relation to their position in socialism and there is also included description of the national mentality in Slovakia. The third section demonstrates through case studies on two real cases of Slovak entrepreneurs, how the national mentality of Slovaks affects the status of women in business.

The status of women in business and trade in China

This bachelors thesis deals with the status of women in Chinese society, as well as in business and commercial matters. The overall approach to women is closely linked to traditional values of Confucianism, which is an important part of everyday life of ordinary Chinese. However these unseemly traditions from Chinese history still exist. A large percentage of women are struggling with various forms of discrimination, in their education process or in personal career. Working conditions for women are often worse than for men who are still more preferred in the Chinese society. Contributed to many factors, starting from China's strict one-child policy to family status, when a man is seen as the head of the family making livelihood not only for his wife and children but also for his parents. This work focuses on the alarming level of living of Chinese women, mostly in the villages, where they live in very poor family conditions, they have minimum access to education and zero possibility to build a career. At the end of my work I described one case of successful Chinese women -- an entrepreneur, who managed to fulfill her dream of her own company. The methodology of this thesis is based on an analysis of literature and my own experience. Personally, I took part in the exhibition China Fish 2010 in Beijing that made my view on this issue wider.
