The Role of Nurse in Prevention of Shaken Baby Syndrome

This bachelor thesis deals with the issue of the Shaken Baby Syndrome. The research was also focused on the issue of the Child Abuse and Neglect because the Shaken Baby Syndrome is one of the specific forms of child abuse. The aim of the research was to describe the role of nurse in the prevention of the Shaken Baby Syndrome and to find out what extent is the general public informed about this syndrome. The research was conducted in the form of qualitative data collection and analysis.

Prevention of addictions among pupils with hearing disability

The thesis deals with the prevention of dependencies for pupils with hearing disabilities. The work describes the specifics of primary, secondary and tertiary prevention and focuses on the State of awareness and of preventive measures on the individual schools for the hearing impaired in Prague. The work is divided into two parts. The theoretical part, which is processed primarily on the basis of the study of literature, contains a general treatise on the auditory disability, a description of the different kinds of dependencies with their consequences and an overview of the possible types of prevention. The practical part is devoted to research through interviews and a questionnaire, which is focused on finding, comparing and quantitative evaluation of the awareness of pupils of various dependencies and their prevention in schools for the hearing impaired in Prague. Risky behavior for children on the web

This bachelor thesis deals with the problem of risky online behaviour of children and it focuses on cyberbullying. The theoretical part describes the risky online behaviour its definition, characterization and it also deals with prevention of the risky behaviour. The empirical part focuses on the introduction of the problem of cyberbullying in selected secondary schools in Jindřichův Hradec with which types of cyberbullying the students have already come across, what are the most common reasons of cyberbullying, occurance, trend and prevention of cyberbullying. The main goal of this work is to examine the problem of cyberbullying reasons, occurance and trend and prevention of cyberbullying in selected secondary schools in Jindřichův Hradec.

Attitude of contact centres workers towards imlementation and importance of Harm Reduction

The thesis deals with the issue of care of drug addicts in the in the Czech Republic, particularly the Harm Reduction. The theoretical part of the thesis describes the above-mentioned working procedures with clients, the legislative framework of the services and the current situation on the drug scene in the Czech Republic. The practical part uses a qualitative form of research. The information was collected by means of structured interviews with open questions. The respondents were eleven workers of contact centres in the Central Bohemian region which has five such facilities. I cooperated with four of them for the purposes of the thesis. The objective of the thesis was to demonstrate that the Harm Reduction services are important and beneficial from the viewpoint of workers of contact centres and to find out whether the contact workers have any suggestions about how to improve the Harm Reduction services in the Czech Republic.

Selected Legal Measures Concerning Tertiary Prevention of the Delinqueny of Minors

The thesis deals with tertiary prevention of the delinquency of minors in connection with particular legal measures resulting from The Judiciary Act on Juvenile Crime and The Family Act. The aim of the paper is to find the connections between casuistry, i. e. individual cases from the author´s experience, and the work and services of authorities and selected organisations responsible for tertiary prevention. The first part of the paper provides information about the system of social and situational prevention in the Czech Republic, and reports on the legal measures according to The Judiciary Act on Juvenile Crime and The Family Act. The second part is concerned with individual cases, which illustrate the work of the institutions involved. These are namely the activities of the Department of Social and Legal Protection of Children, Probation and Mediation Services of the Czech Republic, accredited probation programmes, diagnostic and educational institutions, prisons and non-governmental non-profit organisation.
