The Role of Teaching Practice in Development of Student of the Teachers Training for Primary School

The diploma thesis named Pedagogical practices and their tasks for primary school teachers' development deals with the topic of the pedagogical practices at colleges and universities. The thesis finds out the extent of students' being ready for carrying the practice out. The following task of the thesis is to describe what the students and beginner teachers think about the practice. The theoretical part is aimed at the pedagogical practice process and its connection with the primary teachers' education. Important part of the thesis is to compare the time extent of the practice at different colleges and universities. The practical part works with the qualitative research. The used methods for this part are questionnaire and interview. The pedagogical faculty students describe their experience with the pedagogical practices. The beginner teachers evaluate the level of the practices. TITLE: The first two years of the beginning teacher AUTHOR: Iveta Fukalová DEPARTMENT: School Management Center SUPERVISOR: PhDr. Jan Voda, PhD. ABSTRACT: This final thesis focuses on introducing the teachers-beginners to the teaching practice in the kindergartens. It is based on the requirements on a teacher-beginner, an introductory teacher and the headmaster of the school, their common goals and the ways of co-operation. It describes competences of the roles of both the teachers, conditions for the adjustment to the new environment, the way of communication and a social role in the working team of the kindergarten. It concentrates on a various level of care devoted to the beginners, often inadequate and demotivating, on a positive attitude of the headmaster and selecting the convenient introductory teacher. In the practical part of the thesis, results of a survey are introduced. The survey focuses on the ideas of teachers-beginners, the feedback of experienced teachers and the views of headmasters on the given problem. Mathematics textbooks for secondary schools from the point of view of beginning teachers

The aim of this thesis is to identify differences among Mathematics textbooks and to find out how they work in real education process. This research will provide information whether such textbooks are actually used by Maths teachers, and if so, then in what manner and how effectively. This will be viewed from the perspective of a teacher-beginner who searches for the most appropriate textbook for Mathematics lessons. Another goal is to introduce the offer of various Maths textbooks for the 2nd stage of basic schools. Also, there is a research performed that could compare these books, especially books published by Prometheus, Fraus and H-mat. Results of the research will be then used for lesson plans of a beginning teacher.
