Genetic Algorithms Based Game in Unity

This thesis focuses on the areas of game development and genetic algorithms. It describes the design and implementation of the game PlantEVO, which features special fighting plants. The player's task is to understand the workings of the genetic algorithm and to use it as efficiently as possible in breeding his plants. After then the strength of his plants is tested in online battles against other players. The battles are designed in a turn-based strategy combat style. The game uses a client-server architecture. The client is programmed in the Unity game engine, the server uses the REST API architecture.

This thesis deals with a transformation of a board game to a computer game and its implementation. Its summarizes rules of original game and discusses about issues of transformation them to rules of the computer game. It describes practical aspects of implementation and usage of design patterns. It evaluates feedback and design further development of the game.

This thesis deals with a conception and implementation of a simultaneous move turn-based game for devices running Android. The thesis contains an analysis of the most played games on Android, limitations of mobile devices and required libraries. The work further focuses on the principle of operation of a server prototype and a stress test of an implementation of the described prototype. Based on the test results, the thesis describes an implementation of multithreaded processing and an further analysis of this implementation. The work also portrays the techniques used for network communication. Flight Turn-Based Strategy

Práce rozebírá projekt, který je základem znovupoužiteného enginu počítačové hry - tahové strategie. Celkovým cílem by mělo být vytvoření komerční série počítačových her z vojenského prostředí. Text technické zprávy rozebírá zadání projektu a rozšiřuje jeho myšlenky o nezbytné vlastnosti. Dále popisuje vytvoření samotného zdrojového kódu a jeho použití. Zmiňuje se o stávajícím stavu projektu a krocích, které je potřeba podniknout k jeho dokončení. Zpráva je v anglickém jazyce.
