Trh hráčů americké Národní fotbalové ligy: Jsou hráčům stále vypláceny mzdy odpovídající tržní situaci monopsonu?

The main goal of this thesis is to find out whether National football league players are, even 15 years after the birth of unrestricted free agency, still paid monopsonistic salaries or whether competition among NFL teams eliminated them. After a theoretical discussion, which will help to form expectations about the player market, models in line with the standard theory of labor compensation and with Becker's human capital theory are estimated. The part of the research following the standard theory focuses mainly on estimations of players' marginal revenue product and subsequently on comparison of their wages with their MRP. To do so, OLS regressions, as well as quantile regressions, are run. The part of the research following the human capital theory has a supporting role and is used to further confirm the previous findings. It is represented by OLS player salary estimation. The hypothesis that players under a full control of their teams are still paid salaries below their MRP cannot be rejected, thus confirming a presence of monopsonistic salaries. A significant effect of free agency status on player salaries is also found. Exclusive rights players are paid significantly lower salaries than all free agents, while restricted free agents are paid significantly lower salaries than unrestricted free agents. Superstar players are found to have salaries in excess of their MRP regardless of their free agency status.

ZMĚNA STRUKTURY ČESKÉHO A SVĚTOVÉHO TRHU NA PŘÍKLADU PŘÍMÉHO PRODEJE A MULTILEVEL MARKETINGU

In the context of increasing technological development and of the effort to get closer to the customer grows the importance of those companies that distribute their products through direct sale. The goal of this work is to prove that direct selling companies at the expense of other companies increase their turnover, and therefore contribute more significantly to changes in market structure. The method of work is data analysis, a summary of conclusions from literature, local research by selected traders in Czech Republic by questionnaire and compilation of time series from historical development according to the turnover with a view to build a 5 year prediction. I will also find out the reasons of the increasing turnover of these companies and the implications for the rest of the market. The conclusion of the work summarises the results of data analysis and answers the question whether direct selling will continue to significantly influence the structure of the market.

Struktura trhu železniční dopravy ve vybraných zemích EU

Práce analyzuje strukturu trhu železniční dopravy v zemích EU. Zabývá se vývojem společné dopravní politiky v ES. Specifikuje aktuální požadavky EU na subjekty trhu železniční dopravy a nastiňuje klady a zápory přístupu ES k trhu se železniční dopravou. Popisuje ekonomické i mimoekonomické vlivy působící na trh železniční dopravy. Charakterizuje podrobně vývoj a současný stav trhu ve Velké Británii, Německu, České republice. Okrajově se zabývá též Švédskem, Belgií, Nizozemskem, Itálií a Francií. Charakterizuje vztahy mezi dopravci, tj. železničními podniky, vlastníkem a provozovatelem infrastruktury a úřady a organizacemi zajišťující regulaci železniční dopravy.
