Wing system design of competition aircraft
Mahdal, Vít ; Hájek, Tomáš (referee) ; Katrňák, Tomáš (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis deals with the wing system design of competition aircraft. The thesis consists of five main parts. The first part is an introduction to the competition – Air Cargo Challenge, and the mission of UAV. The second part details the compilation of flight envelope and loads acting on the aircraft. Part three describes stress analysis of the old fabric method of wing construction. Part four of the thesis gives suggestions of a new wing system design, and its stress analysis. The final part of this bachelor’s thesis describes the advantages and disadvantages of the new system design, and compares them to the old version.
Replica Design of L-40 "Meta Sokol " Aircraft - wing
Pluhař, Tomáš ; Jebáček, Ivo (referee) ; Píštěk, Antonín (advisor)
This diploma thesis targets in concept of wing, aileron, flap and main undercarriage of the ultralight replication of the plane L-40 called Meta Sokol. The thesis developed from cooperation with two other members of the team – Alice Lipková (aerodynamics, power) and Miroslav Růžička (fuselage, tail unit and rear gear). The first part of this diploma thesis is concerned with load and concept of structure of the wing. At first the flight envelope is specified, then charakteristics of shearing force, bending moment and torsion moment are determined spanwise. The concept and subsequent strength verification of structure of the wing is also solved. The same process is claimed to concept of the aileron and the flap. The second part of this diploma thesis is dealt with main landing gear, its support, structure, springing and the principle of retraction. The final passage is devoted to load of the undercarriage.
Composite cements with heat-convertible polymer - preparation and parameters
Surman, František ; Šiler, Pavel (referee) ; Havlica, Jaromír (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis deals with the preparation and study of composite material based on thermosetting polymer (phenol resin) and inorganic binder (high alumina cement). Very high mechanical properties, considerable stability to moisture and heat are specific properties of this polymer-cement composite. The special preparation means high-shear mixing, which depends resultant properties of composite to a considerable extent. Theoretical part reveals the reason of high achievements, which are typical for this polymer-cement composite but not for other type of inorganic binder used in this composite. This part furthermore studies chemical and physical processes, which occurs in composite mixture during processing and hardening, environmental durability and general applications of polymer modified cements. Practical part includes the laboratory preparation of phenol resin and the study of flexural strength of composite according to resin content in composite mixture. The flexural strength was measured by universal test machine Zwick Z010. Microstructure of material was observed by optical microscopy.
Development of materials used for downhill skis production
Václavík, Martin ; Jech, David (referee) ; Pavloušková, Zina (advisor)
The submitted thesis is a retrieval type and is concerned with the technologies and materials used in the manufacture of downhill skis with a deeper focus on the last ten years. Examined are materials for the manufacture of ski cores as well as other parts of the ski, and that in terms of comparison of the construction materials and technologies. Listed are basic elements and characteristics of skis, methods of manufacture, materials for the manufacture of individual parts of the skis and, last but not least, the types of skis. The work is eked out with the analysis of several samples of skis, on which were made cuts, they were observed and structures were compared. The aim of this observation was to determine whether the materials found in the practical section corresponds to the information contained in the theoretical part.
Optimalisation of heat treeatment of steel - 27MnCrB5-2
Černín, Jiří ; Němec, Karel (referee) ; Věchet, Stanislav (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis deal with heat treatment of bor steel, 27MnCrB5-2. The work contains assessment and further proposal of new suitable form fot heat treatment. With request for the most possible hardness and preservation optimal scale of tenacity and reasonable price. Teoretical part describes basic information about heat treatment. In the practical part was investigate sttructure, hardness and chemical composition of six samples.
