Implementace konceptu chytrých měst v České republice

The diploma thesis focuses primarily on the concept of Smart City. Due to urbanization, there is an ever-increasing proportion of people living in cities. One viable way to face the challenges of urbanization is to introduce the Smart City concept. The main goal of the thesis is to find out how and to what extent the concept of Smart City is applied in selected municipalities of the Czech Republic, both within the framework of strategic documents and in the provision of services for the population. The theoretical part contains the main definition of the term Smart City, related research, and a description of the basic structure of the strategic document of the municipality. The practical part of the work presents the results of the analysis of strategic documents of municipalities and interviews with members of municipal councils.

Experts in Educational Policy in the Czech republic

This bachelor thesis deals with the issue of experts in educational policy in the Czech Republic. It focuses on regular discussion meetings about the topics of educational policy which are called "kulaté stoly" (round tables). They are organized by the non-profit organization SKAV. The topic of the bachelor thesis is quite unexplored and the bachelor thesis takes the first look into this issue. It focuses on various categories of experts who express their opinions about different topic of educational policy. The main aim of this thesis is to identify who are these experts, from which organizations and professions they are and how often they appear at the discussion meetings. Besides these discussion meetings, in this bachelor thesis, members of expert groups which participate in creating the strategic documents (Bílá kniha, Strategy of educational policy till 2020 and Strategy of educational policy till 2030) are analyzed. In the first part of the thesis, the theoretical and factual background of the topic is presened. In the second part of the thesis, the round tables are analyzed, experts who are invited to discussion meetings are categorized and the experts with the highest amount of attendances are identified. Seniors activation strategy: from the perspective of Multiple Streams Framework

The theme of the diploma thesis is the policy-making process, specifically the process of making of the National Action Plan for Positive Ageing for the Period 2013 - 2017. It's about exploring its creation from the viewpoint of active members of the Government Council for Seniors and Population Ageing, who was discussing it at meetings. The theoretical framework - Multiple Streams Framework deals with the aspect of policy entrepreneurs. Using qualitative, semi-structured interviews and then analysis of qualitative data, it was possible to explore the means, used by policy entrepreneurs to promote their ideas at meetings. This diploma thesis does not only study the creation of an action plan, but also the identification of policy entrepreneurs, through document analysis. After that were analysed primary data from interviews with members of the Government Council for Seniors and Population Ageing, who had been appointed by The Ministry of labour and social affairs. The studied, strategic document is the answer to the demographic ageing phenomenon the population of the Czech Republic.

Support options for vocational education

The bachelor thesis deals with possibilities of how to support vocational education, expecially its technical branches.The aim is to find out what kind of support is provided to students at secondary vocational schools and apprentice schools by businesses, organizations and other support programs so that the graduates could find employment after graduation in their field. The bachelor thesis is divided into theoretical and pracitcal (i.e. research) parts. The theoretical part describes the individual strategic documents that deal with the support of the vocational education, which nowadays suffers from the lack of students. The practical part determines a set of research questions and includes the research that was carried out in the form of a questionnaire survey between teachers of vocational schools and interviews with vocational school students. The results were subsequently evaluated and conclusions were drawn to identify which possibilities of support are used and how they are accepted by the students alone.

Komparace využitých přístupů k definování problémových regionů v ČR a jejich vyhodnocení

This thesis is focused on analysis and mutual comparison of approaches used to identify "problem regions" in the Czech Republic. The theoretical part is focused on search available Czech and foreign literature in the field of regional policy, regional disparities and problem regions. On the basis of analysis conceptual documents and other relevant sources defining problem areas at different levels of governance is made a description of the specific methods used for defining problem regions, esp. at the level of higher territorial administrative units. Subsequently is made mutual comparison of used approaches and discussion their suitability, which is also the aim of this thesis. All findings are in the final part of thesis formulated into conclusions and recommendations.

Bachelor thesis deals with analysis strategic documents of the new financial perspective prepared by the European Union for the years 2014 - 2020 and the changes that occur from the previous programming period of 2007 - 2013. The first part focuses on the goals, vision and principles of the implementation of regional and structural policy EU in the previous programming period, the transna-tional as well as national and regional level. Second, application part of the work deals with the goals and vision of a new period 2014 - 2020 and subsequent comparison of documents the past and the new programming period. The result is the definition of fundamental differences and formulation of recommendations for applicants from among the business sector.

BRUŠTÍKOVÁ, A. Study of the development of municipalities in the South Moravian region, Bachelor thesis. Brno: FRDIS in Brno, 2014. The main goal of my Bachelor thesis is to describe development of South Moravian region on the basis of questionnaire surveys which took place in years 2002 and 2012. These surveys were created by departments of county council of South Moravian region and it was sent to all municipalities. The first-theoretical part of my thesis consists of definition of regional development as a whole, then regions, history, describing of strategic documents and indicators and possibilities of measurement of regional development. The second part-practical describes results of surveys and on the basis of it a degree of development is evaluated which had occurred during these ten years (2002-2012).

The Strategic Plan for community development Ludgeřovice in Moravian-Silesian Region

The aim of my thesis is to draw up a draft of Strategic Plan for community development Ludgeřovice, which will positively influence the future development of the municipality. To respect the required scope of thesis, the financial and monitoring part of the strategic plan had to be excluded, even though they normally form an integral part of the programming document. The first part draws up theoretical basis of strategic planning. The second part is focused on the socio-economic analysis and SWOT analysis. In the end of the thesis there is a strategic section, which is cornerstone for recommended goals and visions, that will lead to the future development of the municipality.
