Zelenková, Karolína ; Kaplan, Aleš (advisor) ; Mejsnarová, Linda (referee)
Thesis title: Impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on children's athletics Author: Karolína Zelenková Thesis Supervisor: doc. PhDr. Mgr. Aleš Kaplan, MBA, Ph.D. Objective: The objective of my thesis is to investigate the interest of younger and older youth in athletics during the COVID-19 pandemic through a questionnaire survey. Methodology: A non-standardized questionnaire was used for the preparation of the bachelor thesis, which was mediated in printed form. Six randomly selected athletic clubs in the South Bohemia region were asked to cooperate. 82 athletes participated in the research. The questionnaire included 8 initial characteristic questions and 14 questions related to the COVID-19 pandemic and its impact on athletic training. The subject of the research was the motivation of youth to participate in sports during the pandemic and also the comparison of the opinions of young athletes from the South of Bohemia during the pandemic with the time before the pandemic. Results of the Thesis: The results suggest that during the COVID-19 pandemic, young athletes missed the opportunity to participate in athletic training. More than half of the respondents engaged in exercise regularly for more than 30 minutes per day, even though 72 % of them had no online substitute from coaches. Motivation to train...

Ryzáková, Lenka ; Kaplan, Aleš (advisor) ; Hojka, Vladimír (referee)
Title: The description of the running technique of the Czech record holder in sprint in the category of 15 years. Objectives: The main aim of my Bachelor study was to describe the technique running of a sprinter in the category of 15 years. Based on the methodology of educational research we evaluated the level of the running technique on the shortest sprint track in the category of 15 years, on the 60 meters, by the deliberately chosen individual. The monitored object is the current best sprinter in the Czech Republic in the category of 15 years. Methods: In the presented Bachelor study there are used the educational methods as the observation and the questionnaire. Using the observation and the subsequent description we monitored the performance of individual techniques in terms of block starts, acceleration and full-speed running. We also monitored the performance level of this young talented sprinter in athletic seasons 2009 and 2010. We used the questioning to determine the possible early stages of specialised athletic training. Results: Thank to the set plan of the Bachelor study, we recorded, in terms of the running technique of the observed subject, an individual sprint performance, which did not differ from the standard description of the sprint technique. As we deal with a competitor in...
Evaluation of stability level of athletes (14-15 years) by MFT S3 Check
Javůrková, Jana ; Kaplan, Aleš (advisor) ; Jebavý, Radim (referee)
Theme: Evaluation of stability level of athletes (14-15 years) by MFT S3 Check Aims: The aim of this diploma thesis is evaluation of stability level, sensomotor and pose symmetry of both-limb posture by MFT S3 Check system at a selected group of children attending an athletic club. I used the comparison of values between a group of girls and boys. Methodology: The level of stability, sensomotor and pose symmetry was measured in the course of the race season. The data was measured by MFT S3 Check system and further one leg stand test was used. Measurment was supplemented with a questionnaire survey. I used the comparison of values between a group of girls and boys Results: In the test MFT S3 Check the girls achieved above-average evaluation in the index values and stability sensomotorics than boys, who were evaluated in the test below average. The sum of the average values of divergences from the ideal ratio at both monitored levels were lower by 0.15 at boys. There was proved a medium dependence of body weight and BMI values on the level of stability. Shoe size, incidence of ankle injuries, nor the results of the one leg stand test had no impact on the level of stability. Key words: senzomotor, stability, symmetry, 14-15 years, athletics, testing
