Temperament characteristics of competitors in flatwater racing

Title: Temperament characteristics of competitors in flatwater racing Objectives: Goal of this work was to determine the temperament characteristic of competitors in flatwater racing and try to find a relationship between temperament and different race distance in watched population. Methods: Use was Eysenck's questionnaire of temperament (EPI) in research. Observe population was a group of flatwater racing competitors from czech army sports club Dukla Praha and USK Praha, competitors in national czech team. Results: The dominate type of temperament in the monitored group was sanguineosus with low degree of extroversion and the low degree of stability. Dependence between temperament and specialization for different distances was confirmed only for marathon competitors. For competitors group of sprint 200m didn't results significantly different from the observe average. In the marathon group was dominated to introverted behavior. The dominant temperament profile in marathon group was phlegmatic with a low level of introvesion and low level of stability. Title: Motivation for Practicing Judo for Children in age between 11 and 15 years. The Aim of The Thesis: The aim of this thesis was to find out which motivation factors are the most importatnt for the judo athletes in age between 11-15 years. We studied all the necessary literature, collected informations about this topic, and established quantitative questionnaire. The result of this thesis is suggestion for coaches based on received information about which motivation factors are important for children and which are not. Method: Experiment will be provided by using quantitative questionnaires established for judo athletes in age between 11 and 15. Dynamics of Aspiration Level during Achieving More Demanding Goals

This bachelor thesis deals with a to this day very briefly studied topic of aspirations and their dynamics when achieving more demanding goals. From the scope of the thesis' structure, the text is divided into five theoretic chapters and an empirical one presenting the design of the research. The first part of the thesis is preoccupied with the outline of the aspirations problem, the description of basic terms, the history of the scientific research in this field and with the motivational tendencies to succeed and to avoid failure in general. A major part of the text is dedicated to the level of aspiration theory. The structure of the aspiration levels is depicted, so as their settings, possible modifications and studies that have dealt with this issue. The next chapter deals with the impact of aspiration on achieving goals, factors that determine the level of aspiration and changes in self-perception. The fifth and final chapter in the theoretic part contains chosen findings from the field of sport psychology and other applied disciplines related to the aspiration phenomenon. The core of the subsequent empirical section is the design of a study from the field of sport psychology.
The influence of media on the czech athletes before and during the olympic games in london 2012

The bachelor thesis Influence of Media on Czech Athletes before and during the Olympic Games in London 2012 examines the impact of selected Czech media on the successful Czech athletes including: world record holder Barbora Špotáková, European Vice-champion Denisa Rosolová, World Champions Vítězslav Veselý and Zuzana Hejnová. The main content and at the same time the aim of the thesis is to inspect whether the selected media activity had positive or negative impact to the athletes performance at 2012 Olympic Games in London. The thesis is divided into two parts - theoretical and analytic. The theoretical part is based on two main assumptions. First, media can affect an individual's state of mind, and second, a psyche of an athlete can have an impact on his or her performance. The author explains general effects of the media and points out how they can influence a success of the athlete. In addition, it describes the importance of athlete's psyche during the competition. Afterwards, it introduces the selected athletes, the most important moments in their Olympic season, and also selected media with their sections, which are explored in the practical part of the thesis. Title: Influence of Actual Psychological State on a Sport Performance in TeamGym Purspose: The main aim of this bachelor theses is to determine the actual psychological state experienced before the competition and to find out the influence it has on athlete's performance. The difference between the performance and psychological state in cup competitions and competitions where team can move on to the next round is also discussed in this theses. The TeamGym, as a young and not so well known discipline, is also introduced in this theses. Methods: The research method used to evaluate actual psychological state of gymnasts is the questionnaire method SUPSO founded by Oldřich Mikšík. This questionnaire is applied on the members of the team before every competition. The methods used for determination of the performance are the analysis of every competition video record, the analysis of obtained results and interviews with a team coach and TeamGym judges. Results: As a result of this theses is the description of psychical states of all the team members and it's improvement during the season.
