Problems of organizing a public marathon cross-country skiing

Topic: Organizational issues of a public mass marathon in cross-country skiing Goals of thesis: The aim of this thesis is to identify all the difficulties with planning, implementation and evaluation of public mass marathon in cross-country skiing. Further this work should give a example and methodological manual for organization of public mass marathon. This thesis is valid for Czech Republic. Method: The solution results from analysis of documents dealing with the issue. Another source of information is based on long term organizational experience of LK Slovan Karlovy Vary with organizing public mass marathon. Results: The main goal was achieved by creating detailed instructions for organization of mass race. The main contribution of this thesis is to provide the guidelines for organizers beginners of public mass marathon. The work is divided into two parts. The theoretical part describe history of mass-races in cross country skiing at home and abroad. There is also set of rules for mass races and theoretically described process of organizing sport's events in terms of economics, marketing and management. Analysis of the satisfaction of sport event participants

The diploma thesis deals with satisfaction measurement of participants of sport event. This sports event is international junior curling cup in Prague. The aim of thesis is to analyze participants satisfaction with this tournament. Based on these results some critical factors will be identified and also recommendations for organizers of the tournament will be listed to improve the quality of the tournament for next years. In a first part of the thesis there are described customer satisfaction theory and techniques for its measurements. According to suitability for this case the questionnaire survey will be applied. After short introduction to the tournament and some curling rules and specifics analysis of the survey results will be described. More evaluation methods will be used. Based on results from this analysis recommendations for tournament improvement will be given.
Business Plan for Organization of Fireman Races

This bachelor's thesis is dedicated to the problem of organization of a sport event - specifically a fire sport contest at a premier league level of the Czech Republic. Separate chapters of the work discuss the history of the fire sport in the Czech Republic and abroad, its significance and various subdisciplines. It contains author’s own concept of organization of this kind of event, including possible ways of obtaining sufficient personal, material and financial support. Final economic evaluation is also included. The main motive of the thesis is evaluation of the feasibility of the organization concept.
Sport centres in the Czech republic - possibilities of using in tourism

The aim of the diploma thesis is to analyse the total capacity of sport centres in a selected region of the Czech republic. The capital city of Prague was chosen for this analysis as one of the most important tourist destinations within the Czech republic with a developed sport infrastructure, which offers a potential for the development of active tourism. Not all of the sport centres situated in Prague are included in the research, but the emphasis is put on such centres and services related to sport activities that can be used by tourists within the active and passive sport tourism. The thesis also includes a survey which aims to find out, what are the general trends in the behavior of people in relation to active and passive sport tourism and sport activities in Prague.
Cost - benefit analysis of Biathlon World Championships 2013

This thesis covers the implementation of ex post cost-benefit analysis (CBA) applied to specific sport event in the Czech Republic, specifically Biathlon World Championships, which was held in Nové Město na Moravě in 2013. The results of determinative criterion indicators reliably exceeded the required values, investment project can be considered as economically feasible. Concurrently the event has generated positive cash flow therefore we can talk about the feasibility of the project. Overall, the project can be recommended for realization, because brings more benefits than costs to interested parties.

This thesis deals with the topic of the economy of sports events. In The practical part describes three different sports events: Mácháčský pohodář, Jablonecký běh do pohody and Tygří skiatlon. On each of them is demonstrated one of the specific activities leading to the organization of medium-sized sports events (from 100 to 500 participants). The main goal is to reveal (in detail) the issue of the organization, financing and promotion of sports events and thus provide readers with guidance for future events of similar structure. The work is further discussed the issue how to organize the event with the aid of project management. The next task is to analyze and evaluate the economic impact of selected sports events to the region in which it is held. The result of this analysis was finally confirm the hypothesis that medium-sized sports events, in our case Mácháčský pohodář, have a relevant economic impact on the area in which they are organized.
Golden Ski economy

This diploma thesis is divided into a theoretical part and a practical one. The theoretical part deals with the characteristics of sport events and presents the International Ski Federation FIS, including its structure, and marketing and technical concept of the races in the FIS Tour de Ski. The introduction to the practical part focuses on the history of cross-country skiing, the structure of the most important cross-country races in the world, and presents the town of Nove Mesto na Morave and the race Golden Ski. Then follows the description of the allocation process of the World Cup race and possibilities of its abolition. The main part of the diploma thesis is a detailed analysis of the Golden Ski race in the Tour de Ski. The analysis deals with the topics related to the organizing committee, technical support, scoring, invitations, accreditation, accommodation, marketing, transportation, and accompanying program of Golden Ski. The thesis concludes with financial background and short mention of Slavic Cup.
Price Policies Used for Sport Events and Sport Facilities

The main goal of the Master's Thesis is to describe and to analyse methods of pricing and other instruments of price policies used for sport events and sport facilities. The second goal is to analyse the effect of price policies on the attendance demand at sport events and sport facilities. The practical part of the Master's Thesis focuses on the comparison of price policies of the czech professional football clubs in the First Division. Price policy of the one First Division and of the one Second Division club in the Czech Republic was described more closer. These clubs were AC Sparta Prague and FK Viktoria Žižkov.
Socioeconomic benefit analysis of major international sport event

The thesis is devoted to an evaluation of social and economic benefit, which is produced by major international sport event. Particular costs and benefits of the alpine skiing World Cup competitions held in Czech Republic are described and evaluated, using standard tools of investment project evaluation. Applied procedure arises from CBA (cost benefit analysis) methodology. All important effects of the analysed sport event are expressed as an amount in the form of money. Based on the values of selected indicators is then pronounced a concluding verdict, if the project is acceptable or not.
