Appliances for solid fuel for heating
Lackovič, Roman ; Hrnčířová, Michaela (referee) ; Štelcl, Otakar (advisor)
Bachelor's thesis "Appliances for solid fuel for heating" aims on the issue of emission measurement for solid fuel boilers. The first part is a theoretical introduction, where solid fuels are described, following are the types of appliances, which are powered by solid fuels. There are described legislation related to emission limits and principles of devices used for measururing emissions of solid fuel appliances at the end of the theoretical part. The second part is the attention devoted to description of measurement, that we have done, calculation of efficiency and emissions for measurement. Lastly, there is specified emission class to which the boiler, according to measurement, belongs.

Final part of the thesis presents model of household and comparison between current heating and proposed methods.
Influence of fly ash containing products after flue gases denitrification to corrosion of metal parts of technological units
Řezanina, Marek ; Tkacz, Jakub (referee) ; Opravil, Tomáš (advisor)
This thesis deals with the influence of fly ash containing residues of flue gas denitrification after SNCR method. There are remains of ammonium compounds and bicarbonate compoudns, especially the hydrogen ammonium sulphate in solid combustion products, when using the SNCR method. This substance itself is corrosive, and it releases ammonium ions to the solution and releases an ammonia gas in case the pH is higher than 9. Because the fly ash gets processed, transported, and if you add lime it also produces the so called stabilizate. it is necessary to think about the corrosion of equipment in which these processes take place. The aim of this thesis is to assess the degree of corrosion of various types of steel in corrosive environments described above.
Thermoelectric Generators for Micro-CHP Units
Brázdil, Marian ; Navrátil, Jiří (referee) ; Masaryk, Michal (referee) ; Pospíšil, Jiří (advisor)
Small domestic hot water boilers burning solid fuels represent a significant source of air pollu-tion. It is therefore an effort to increase their combustion efficiency and to reduce the produc-tion of harmful emissions. For this reason, the operation of older and currently unsatisfactory types of household boilers has been legally restricted. Preferred types of boilers are low-emission boilers, especially automatic or gasification boilers. Most of them, however, in compar-ison with previous types of boilers, also require connection to the electricity grid. If there is a long-term failure in electricity grid, the operation of newer boiler types is limited. Wood and coal gasification boilers are currently available on the market and can be operated even in the event of a power failure, but only in heating systems with natural water circulation. In heating systems with forced water circulation, these boilers, fireplaces or fireplace inserts with hot-water heat exchangers cannot be operated without external battery supply in the event of a power failure. The dissertation thesis therefore deals with the question of whether it would be possible by thermoelectric conversion of waste heat of flue gases of small-scale low-emission combustion hot water domestic boilers to obtain sufficient electricity, to power supply their circulation pumps and to ensure operation in systems with forced water circulation independently of elec-tricity supply from the grid. In order to answer this question, a simulation tool predicting the power parameters of ther-moelectric generators was created. Compared to previously published works, the calculations and simulations include the influence of the generator on the boiler flue gas functionality. To verify the simulation tool, an experimental thermoelectric generator was built using the waste heat of the flue gas of an automatic hot water boiler for wood pellets. In addition to this genera-tor, there was also created an experimental thermoelectric fireplace insert and other equipment related to these experiments.
Boilers for solid fuel
Carbol, Marek ; Štelcl, Otakar (referee) ; Baláš, Marek (advisor)
This bachalor thesis deals with the assessment of solid fuel boilers. The first chapter groups fuel into categories. Solid fuel is described in detail including its structure and features. The second chapter describes different types and technologies of hot water and high temperatures hot water boilers of a given power output. The final chapter lists companies which supply these boilers in the Czech republic. Specific boilers are described and their use in specific plants is presented.
