Soils of Elbe floodplain. A dynamics of changes of development of alluvial soils at selected profiles in over 100 years.
Vejrostová, Lenka ; Šefrna, Luděk (advisor) ; Chuman, Tomáš (referee)
The thesis deals with soils of the middle Elbe floodplain. Basic information about the development of Elbe floodplain is focused on the middle Elbe region. The aim of the thesis is to capture the floodplain development in the area of interest, including the description and comparison of soils at different transects in surroundings of Kostelec nad Labem. For this purpose several transects from the historical Elbe canalisation documentation were chosen. Additional to this, small soil survey was carried out at identical locations in 2013. Obtained information was confronted and evaluated.

The methodology proposes criteria for determination of the content of micro-nutrients in soils and their evaluation via useing of the extraction method Mehlich 3: certified methodology for practice
Čermák, Pavel ; Mühlbachová, Gabriela ; Káš, Martin ; Vavera, Radek ; Pechová, Miroslava
The methodology proposes criteria for determination of the content of micro-nutrients in soils and their evaluation via useing of the extraction method Mehlich 3. Extraction procedure Mehlich 3 is the official analytical method currently used in testing system of agricultural soils for the determination of the content of available P, K, Mg and Ca. There are criteria for valuation of content of these available nutrients - see Decree No. 275/1998 Coll., on Agrochemical Testing of Agricultural Soil and Land Surveys of Forest Lands, as amended). The existing criteria for above mentioned nutrients are due to this methodology extended by next five elements (Cu, Fe, Mn, Zn and B), marked in field of plant nutrition as micro-nutrients. The simple and easy Mehlich 3 analytical procedure applicable to a variety of different elements, is already used in a wide range of laboratories, allows to extend the criteria for the others elements. In addition, many laboratories can use the multi-elementar analytical instruments ICP-OES. Suggested criteria will also serve for farmers for valuation of soil supply by micro-elements.

The use of minimization and conservation tillage technologies in order to reduce water erosion on cultivated lands
Nerušil, Pavel ; Kohoutek, Alois ; Odstrčilová, Věra ; Vach, Milan ; Javůrek, Miloslav ; Strašil, Zdeněk
The main objective of this methodology is to present the latest knowledge on protection of agricultural lands from water erosion to wide professional agricultural public with respect to its degradation effect on soil and long-term remedy of damage caused. It should also be appealing to responsible and consistent use of soil erosion control measures, because ensuring the sustainability of soil fertility not only for the present generation but for the future should be an effort for both professionals and also the general public. And just choose a convenient methods of agricultural land management, use of soil tillage technologies that prevent water erosion runoff and support rainfall water infiltration into the soil are being the right way to achieve that goal.
