The bachelor thesis concerns social networks as a marketing tool with focus on fashion industry. After a brief introduction to marketing theory social networks as a mean of modern communication are introduced. The following practical part demonstrates use of social networks for commercial communications on examples of three international fashion corporations. The conclusion should assess different approaches of the companies to marketing in social networks and an attempt to identify possible future trends is also included.

The use of the social networks in the marketing strategy

The thesis deals in the first part with the definition of social networks, their historical development and the basic principles of the operation. The content of the second part is focused on the benefits and risks connected to the usage of the social networks and contains the analysis of trends in the marketing practice. The next part is devoted to the most used social networks and describes their functional elements, which can be used by the companies to achieve their marketing objectives. The practical part of this thesis begins with the introduction of the company IBM, their marketing strategy and evaluation of the activities within social networks. The main objective of this thesis is to propose steps that will help IBM to avoid the mistakes which are currently being made. These steps include mainly the layout design and the usage of the most frequently used functionalities to allow more effective utilization of the social networks in marketing strategy. Although is Facebook the key element for the application of the proposed steps, the attention is also devoted to Twitter and the newly established social network called Google+.
E-commerce and social networks in small businesses

The diploma thesis focuses on e-commerce in small businesses in connection with marketing and social networks. The first chapter focuses on the marketing processes and the possibility of use of the Internet in small businesses. In the second chapter I deal with the rules of creation of the corporate website, I describe several Internet tools to promote the website (Google Analytics) and deal with search engine optimization (SEO). The third chapter is devoted to social media and a number of case studies describing the use of the social network Facebook in marketing. The final chapter four is the result of the previous chapters, all the theoretical findings are applied to the two real companies AS. ROVI, s.r.o. and METRO FLORENC, s.r.o. In conclusion I am summarizing the facts mentioned above and set out recommendations for both companies and small businesses in general. This thesis was designed as a guide for small businesses -- for them to be thaught how to effectively use modern Internet tools to improve their own promotion and hence profit.
Propagation of accommodation through social networks

This bachelor thesis deals with the practical use of social networks for the purpose of promoting accommodation facilities. The first part of the work describes the notions of marketing, internet marketing and its forms. The second part deals with the concepts of social networking, social media and social graph, which are the main subjects of this bachelor thesis. Third part describes and compares possibilities of social networks, which the author considers to be appropriate to use for accommodation facilities. The practical part is divided into two parts, where the first part summarizes the knowledge necessary for creating campaigns on social networks and the second part practically treats the process of creating campaigns for social networks for the case of accommodation facility. The conclusion contains an evaluation of all undergraduate work and the author's own opinion.
Marketing strategy of a new online product Promise-Book

The master thesis addresses the topic of human ability to keep a promise, resolution and deals with this issue in the context of social networks and internet in the form of online platform called Promise-Book. In particular, the thesis contains data and research materials which could be used as references for the product's marketing strategy. The materials include: market analysis based on a questionnaire research as well as a research based on secondary data acquired from public statistics and studies provided by different internet websites, which are summarized in a SWOT analysis. The thesis also shows different options on internet advertisement and marketing strategies and determines the most suitable one for Promise-Book platform. The marketing strategy is performed in a standard way: Segmentation-Targeting-Positioning, Marketing Mix, Budget and Action Plan, Monitoring and evaluation.

This diploma thesis outlines the ways of efficient marketing use and performance measurement of social networks by FMCG companies. The first chapter defines the concewpt of social networks, describes their benefits for company marketing and introduces the major world and Czech social networks. The second chapter is dedicated to the current most important social network, Facebook. The sub-chapters are covering structure and creation of a fan page, main principles of page management, post planning, aplications, ads, social graph and Facebook advertising policies. Main attention is given to the content of a fan page. the third chapter introduces the marketing potential of Youtube.The fourth chapter features the options of social networks performance measurement. The second half of the work introduces the marketing strategy on social networks for the company Nutricia a.s.

The main objective of this thesis is to evaluate activities of the bar U stare studny on social networks and to suggest steps that will enable management to achieve success mainly on Facebook, but also on other networks such as Twitter and Foursquare. The bar is currently using social networks in a very limited way and in this work I would like to contribute to better understanding of the problem and also show the way, which should their online activities take. The theoretical part deals with the social graph, which is later linked to the modern online social networks. The practical part contains steps that aim to improve the marketing campaigns primarily on Facebook, but also on Twitter and Foursquare.
Commercial use of social networks in Hungary

This bachelor's thesis deals with commercial use of social networks by the biggest companies in Hungary. In the first part, after a short introduction about the history and development of social media, choosen social networks are described in details, with focus on the offered possibilities for commercial use. The set of choosen networks reflects their diversity and also includes networks, that are used almost exclusively by people with Hungarian nationality. The second part is a quantitative and qualitative research about how the biggest Hungarian companies exploit the selected social networks. The result are then compared to result from a bachelor's thesis on the same topic, but with focus on the Czech commercial sector.
