Substitude alimony in theory and in practice

Substitute maintenance in theory and practice Abstract The author of the present work focuses on a new social security benefit that expanded the state social welfare system starting from 1 July 2021. Substitute maintenance is a blanket benefit intended to cover the costs of maintenance and care of dependent children for whom maintenance responsibilities arising from a court decision have not been properly fulfilled. In addition to presenting a new public-law institute in the context of its historical roots and ways in which it is projected into the valid legal order of the Czech Republic, this work also aims to assess the degree of state interference into the private-law sphere of family rights. The introduction and the first part of the text focus on introducing maintenance responsibilities of parents towards children with an emphasis on the consequences of failure to pay maintenance. The author provides a detailed analysis of the issue of interest accrual on maintenance in court practice. The second part of the text presents the new legislation of substitute maintenance and takes an excursus into the history of the issue. The concept of basic income and its potential implementation in the Czech Republic

This bachelor´s thesis entails information regarding the concept of basic income. It explains the definition of the concept, its theoretical framework and historical roots. The concept of basic income offers a new view at social security solution and tries to face the new challenges of the 21st century such as the rise of unemployment due to automation and persisting poverty. The thesis provides the advantages and disadvantages of that solution and introduces its debated format throughout the world as well as the various potential ways to fund this idea. The practical application, however, is focused on the Czech Republic. Although this topic is highly discussed throughout the world, this purpose is still a periphery concept throughout most of the Czech Republic. The thesis suggests a possible reform of the present social security including basic income implementation and makes an elementary estimation of its social and financial impacts. The final section generally analyses the feasibility of basic income innovation and discusses its viability within the Czech Republic.
Citizenship of the EU and Benefits of Financial Character Arising Therefrom

The bachelor thesis deals with the problems of citizenship of the European Union and it focuses on its economical aspects. The first part summarises development of concept of the Union citizenship up to now and offers a brief description of particular rights that are covered in the concept of citizenship of the EU. The second part of the thesis concentrates on current issue of economical results arising from the Union citizenship for the citizens as well as for the member states and their social security systems. Chapter focusing on economical dimension of the citizenship rights is divided into two parts - the first one deals with the citizenship and financial benefits arising therefrom with a view to economically active persons in the EU, the second one with a view to persons who are economically inactive. A valuable and essential source primarily to the second part of the thesis is practice of the Court of Justice of the European Union, which forms and extends the Union citizenship. The bachelor thesis concludes that deepening European integration changed considerably the traditional approach in access to financial benefits arising mainly from the social security systems of member states.
Benefits in material need in the context of public service in Klatovy

This work deals with a system to help people who found themselves in a state of material poverty. System to help these people is governed by law No. 111/2006 Coll., about help in the material shortage. The basic idea of this law is that a person who works must be in a good shape than somebody, who doesn?t work or who avoid work. The practical part is tending to meet several objectives. The first objective is to show, how the performance of public service affects the height of benefit help in the material shortage (living allowance) by the individual clients. In terms of practical part of work the public opinion research was realized. The conclusion of practical part shows, how the establishment of the public institute service influence the budget of the city.
