The Study Logistics Supply in the Selected Company

The thesis monitors the distribution logistics of company CommScope at the local and corporate level. The aim of this work is the optimization of the current state and the proposal to use the combined mode of transport for the largest customer in Europe. The theoretical part is focused on the current method of arranging transport and carrier choise. The practical part is a detailed analysis of the road transport from manufacturer to the customer and proposal for using an alternative mode of combined transporport is formulated.
Identifying the Sources of Risk Related to Road Transport of Hazardous Substances and a Proposal of Measures for Reducing Losses on Public Assets

The master‘s thesis focuses on the risks of transporting dangerous goods by road. The introductory part deals with related legislation of the Czech Republic is analyzed, followed by international legislation. In the European Union, the transport of dangerous goods is regulated primarily by the European agreement concerning the International carriage of dangerous goods by road (ADR). Between 2002 and 2019, master‘s thesis analyzes and describes the statistics of traffic accidents with the presence of dangerous goods. Furthermore, this master‘s thesis also analyzes the characteristics of the sources of traffic accident risks, and when activating the risk, the possible effects of traffic accidents and subsequent leakage of dangerous goods are described. In fulfilling the aims of the master‘s thesis, agreement was found in the causes of traffic accidents in statistics and in the literature in the fact that in 80% it is the fault of the human factor. Analysis of a set of 10 large accidents with the presence of dangerous goods using a modified "What, if" method identified impacts on public assets. Based on these identified impacts, measures were proposed that would be appropriate to apply in the public interest.

1 Liability of the carrier in international carriage of goods in comparison Abstract The rigorosum thesis deals with the analysis of the legal regulation of the carrier's liability in the international carriage of goods, all that across every key type of international carriage, while these rules are being continuously compared with one another in the text of this rigorosum thesis. The thesis tries to point out the differences in the regulation connected to similar legal institutes within two or more types of carriage. The introducing part of the rigorosum thesis includes the interpretation of basic terms which are commonly found in international carriage, defines its subjects and their possible plurality. Furthermore, the thesis then explains the necessary definition of individual types of carriage, i.e. regimes in which international carriage can be performed. The role of freight forwarders in international trade and carriage is highlighted as well. It is also important not to omit the basic types of contracts that may be entered into by the subjects in international carriage, as well as their mutual comparison within the framework of the national (i.e. Czech) regulation, in terms, among others, of the carrier's liability regime. International transport of dangerous goods in air and road transportation

The aim of the diploma thesis is analysis of air and road transport of dangerous goods and subsequent comparison of IATA DGR conditions for the air transport of dangerous goods with ADR conditions for the transport of dangerous goods by road and their application on a particular business case. Another aim of the thesis is to carry out a price calculation of road and air transport of a sample lithium battery consignment, to evaluate both types of transport with regard to their price and time efficiency and to make the final recommendations regarding the choice of more efficient mode of transport.
Multimodal transport of oversize load

Bachelor thesis is focused on transport of an oversize load. Theoretical part describes principals of multimodal transport systems with aiming to two transport modes, road and inland waterway. Issues of the oversize load cargo are also being described from surroundings of these transport modes. These issues are analysed from perspective national and European. The end of this part is dedicated to rules, which are used in international trade - INCOTERMS. Practical part is written from a point of view of a company, which tries to plan an optimal transport of it's oversize products, which should be delivered to costumer in the Netherlands.
New Trends in Container Transport

The bachelor thesis is focused on the container transport between the port in Hamburg and container terminals in the Czech Republic. The aim of the thesis is to confirm or disprove a hypothesis that the port can play an important part in diversification of Czech exports which was set as an objective in the Export Strategy of the Czech Republic. The first chapter deals with international trade of the Czech Republic with overseas countries. It also describes intermodal type of transport and introduces the port of Hamburg. The second chapter of the thesis is devoted to transport modes which can be used to transport containers from the Czech Republic to the port. There are analysed rail, road and inland waterway transport.
The problems of driver's participation during loading and unloading and his responsibility - the examples of HOPI

The aim of the diploma thesis is the analysis of driver responsibility during the loading and unloading of the goods at HOPI, the characteristics of the complaints grounds for the selected partner and the presentation of one type of complaints with a proposal to solve how to prevent further damage to the goods. The first part analyzes the responsibility of the carrier, where distinguishes several types of liability including the extent of liability for loss, damage or destruction of the consignment. The practical part describes the work and responsibility of the driver at HOPI. The reasons for Savencia's complaints are characterized, and the last part of the thesis concerns with one reason of complaint (damage of goods) and then proposes a solution.

Intermodal Transport of Dangerous Cargo
