Práce představuje v širším kontextu paradigmata servisně orientované ekonomiky a ukazuje jejich vliv na podnikové a firemní strategie. Pokouší se dát dohromady tradiční modely podnikových a firemních strategií s nově vznikající vědou o službách. Práce ukazuje hlavní myšlenky servisně orientované ekonomiky v porovnání s tradiční produktovou ekonomikou. Jako výsledek srovnání práce poukazuje na potřebu nového přístupu k byznysu, který vychází z aktuálního dění ve světě. Práce přináší sadu doporučení pro formulace podnikových a firemních strategií v servisní ekonomice. V praktické části jsou výsledky demonstrovány a použity pro strategii ve vybrané firmě.

Cloud Computing in sector of small and middle companies

This research focuses on the area of cloud computing, an important research area in computer and service sciences. The general aim of this research is to emphasize the business value of cloud computing to the business. The objective of this research is to explore the economic benefits of cloud computing in order to promote its use in the sector of small and middle companies.
In order to accomplish the objectives of this research, technologies of cloud computing were studied extensively. This research relies on secondary data sourced from books and academic and business journals on service science and the cloud computing and Cloudonomics concepts. All literature is critically analyzed and finding are passed into my analysis. Subsequently, the insistent cost benefits of cloud computing are identified.
The output of this research is a practical recommendation to adopt a cloud computing as cost optional solution. Additionally, encourage IT as a business strategy, which gives the direction for future research in this specific field is suggested.

Implementation of ITIL into Small and Medium Business

This work is initially focused on the general description of ITIL V3 (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) and its five elementary books to enable the reader to become familiar with the essential terms and to get at least an overall view of this approach to the administration of IT services. The section Service Strategy is deeply analyzed on a theoretical level as well as in the practical part of the work. For the needs of this work, the term SMB -- Small and Medium Business is defined, in accordance with the recommendations of the European Commission. For these businesses, the work describes the advantages and disadvantages related not only to their operation, but also to the implementation of ITIL. In the practical part of the work, an analysis of a current state of a sample small business is carried out in the field of service strategy, the result of which is the assessment of its state according to the ITIL principles, pointing out faulty processes or incorrectly defined services, and the decision whether the company would benefit from changing its service strategy.
