Construction Contract Management in a Construction Company

My bachelor thesis I have divided on two parts – theoretical and practical. The goal of my work is to show the method of managing contracts in a particular construction company. Selection process of the school director position from the point of view of Czech teachers and headmasters

This master's thesis deals with the selection process of the school director position. The work is divided into the theoretical and the research part. The theoretical part is concerned with the school director position and its competence, on the other hand with the legislation relevant to the selection process of the school director. In the end of the theoretical part author analyses the selection process in Slovakia. In the practical part author used the questionnaire to find the ideas of Czech teachers and headmasters of the selection process and of the Education Act novelisation. The goal of this thesis is to find how these interested sides perceive the selection process, whether the opinions are the same or different. The conclusions of the literature analysis and the research can be used for the improvement of the school director selection process in the Czech Republic. The work is based on the literature listed at the end and on the questionnaire survey, which was performed with 115 teachers and 13 headmasters. Criteria for selecting the director Art School in the Pilsen region

THE SUMMARY: This bachelor thesis deals with the survey and comparisons of the criteria often used by the founders of Primary Art Schools for the selection of headmasters in Plzen region. The aim of this bachelor thesis was to confirm or disclaim the research hypothesis whether the founders have predetermined criteria for the selection of headmasters. One of the partial aims was to find out if the questioned founders took a set of concrete legislative frame of required criteria for the selection of the headmasters into account. The second partial aim describes the founder's opinion of the issue considering the headmaster's requirements to obtain manager education before their office ingression in the region. The next part deals with the comparison of research results between the regional and municipal founders. The thesis is based on the theoretical part of the human resources management, the founder's authority and the headmaster's authority model. The empirical part displays the research outcomes, which are based on a questionnaire survey and additional interviews. Analysis of the effect of lowest price criterion in the selection process of public procurement

Public procurement in the Czech Republic is a complex process directly settled by the legal procurement framework which defines various contract-awarding procedures. This study focuses on the part of selection process when procurers can decide between using lowest price criterion or most economically advantageous tender (MEAT). We found an evidence of preference of lowest price criterion, especially in the recent years. The main goal of the study is therefore to provide a comprehensive analysis of the leading drivers of selection of specific criteria and their consequential effects. Taking into account various characteristics of public procurement processes, we found out that in general lowest price criterion is preferred by public contracting authorities and by procurers with larger number of employees. This type of selection process also consequently provides an interesting trade-off between higher competition in terms of number of bidders, higher stability in terms of less interventions by the Office for the Protection of Competition (OPC) but also higher probability of consequent extraworks.
