Development of a laboratory test model for seasonal heating factor evaluation

This master’s thesis deals with automation of Seasonal Coefficient of Performance (SCOP) testing process of heat pumps. The thesis includes explanation of testing procedure according to EN 14 825 and flowcharts of its logic. Next there is description of laboratory test model made in LabView and its functionality verifying.

The bachelor's thesis is focused on search of one of the many methods of home heating systems, specifically on heat pumps. The first part describes the structure of heat pumps, the principle of how they work, main types, their two most important parameters and comparison of them to other systems of heating. The second part contains comparison of individual heating systems from economical point of views on a selected model house.

This diploma thesis deals with the assessment of SCOP of the heat pump installed in the selected building and with the determination of optimal size of accumulation which should help to heat pump work with higher temperature and higher SCOP. Annual savings of operating cost and return of investment from installation of accumulation tank are evaluated in this thesis. In the research part of this thesis are described the main components of heat pump, sources of low-potential heat and types of heat pump.

V bakalářské práci jsou shrnuty dostupné metody a koeficienty užívané k testování výkonu a ekologické náročnosti tepelných čerpadel. Pro testování dle norem ISO jsou zde také vysvětleny vstupující faktory. V praktické části je vyhodnocen běh reálného tepelného čerpadla z hlediska výkonnostních parametrů a parametrů týkajících se běhu kompresoru, jako je počet pracovních hodin nebo počet odmrazení.
