Design and optimization of soldering process of solder glasses
Vinklerová, Viktorie ; Jankovský, Jaroslav (referee) ; Otáhal, Alexandr (advisor)
The bachelor‘s thesis deals with solder glasses, its physical properties and types. The work also includes a discussion about heating methods, soldering equipment, soldering process and material compatibility of various metal alloys, metals and sealing materials. The aim of the work is to optimize the soldering process of the glass solder G018-266, which is compatible with Al2O3 and the subsequent realization of the ceramic casing. The work also describes the measurement of the strength of the formed joint in the shear.
Measurement of corrosion resistance of anodized aluminum protective surface layers
Redr, Martin ; Jandová, Kristýna (referee) ; Chladil, Ladislav (advisor)
This master’s thesis is focused on anodic oxidation of an aluminium surface with subsequent sealing of the surface using mid-temperature sealing methods. The research in the theoretical part of the thesis is carried out in surface treatments of aluminium and its alloys, where attention is mainly paid to anodic oxidation, as it is the most widely used surface treatment. The second discussed and at the same time key topic is the sealing process of the anodic coating, which has a fundamental effect on the quality of the corrosion resistance of the resulting surface. In the practical part of the thesis, a number of anodic oxidation experiments with subsequent sealing of the coating on prepared aluminium samples and their subsequent evaluation according to ČSN EN ISO 3210 standard were carried out. Mid-temperature sealing experiments were mainly focused on the use of triethanolamine (TEA), which seems very promising in terms of the resulting sealing quality.
Tightness evaluation of gasketed tubesheet
Trubač, Daniel ; Pernica, Marek (referee) ; Létal, Tomáš (advisor)
This master thesis focuses on the issue of tightness evaluation of gasketed tubesheet in U tube exchangers, which meets strength requirements of ČSN EN 13 445-3 and ČSN EN 1591-1 standards. It deals with the forces acting on the gasket when measuring the effects acting on the entire heat exchanger. A separate part is devoted to the calculation of the heat profile in the heat exchanger and verification of the strength of the heat exchanger. The final part introduces model of a heat exchanger, on which a possible approach to solving the tightness of the tubesheet in heat exchangers is presented. In thesis temperature field evaluation was conducted, the results of which were used in stress strain analysis, in order to obtain gasket contact pressure. Extreme gasket contact pressures were used to estimate leak rate limits.
Design of Experimental One-cylinder Engine with Floating Liner
Svoboda, Radovan ; Svída, David (referee) ; Novotný, Pavel (advisor)
The aim of this master`s thesis was to design a single-cylinder test engine for measuring of the friction forces between the piston group and the cylinder liner. Main engine parameters are based on the common production engine. A floating liner device was chosen for a friction forces measurement. It was necessary to solve an attachment and sealing of the floating liner. Stress-strain analysis of the floating liner has been done. Next step was to re-design a production crankshaft also with a connected balancing devices for single-cylinder engine. Powertrain was seated in a completely new units. Finally the engine was completed and mounted on a stand.
Indoor swimming pool - concrete tank construction
Pőthe, Péter ; Pulec, Vladimír (referee) ; Perla, Jan (advisor)
The aim of the diploma thesis was to design reinforced concrete construction of the indoor swimming pool and ensure impermeability of the construction, to ensure behavior as concrete tank construction. Static analysis was done by using program Dlubal RFEM 5.12, where interaction of subsoil with construction was taken into account. Slabs around the swimming pool area were divided into expansion section because of temperature changes from glass façade an after that the sealing of expansion gap was solved. Construction system under the swimming was designed and was tested the behavior of walls and slabs. Analysis was done also to considerate of hydration heat. The drawing was done by software CADKON RCD.
Optimization suggestions of the loading device.
Kršiak, Oliver ; Foral, Štěpán (referee) ; Varmuža, Jan (advisor)
The thesis deals with the contemporary status of a loading device, specially focusing on its weak points and used materials and a design of a new way of connecting parts of the device. It also concerns the means of sealing each individual parts and the choice of materials with low induction of radioactivity. There are shown and described some ways of connection of pipelines, where this is used, in the thesis. In the thesis there are also described various types of sealants. For proper material application in the reactor enviroment, it was necessary to conduct an analysis of components of chosen alloys and their reaction to slow heat electrons and fast electrons. Based on this analysis and other properties, the right alloys were chosen. In the last part of the thesis, there is briefly included the topic of prolonging devices and the way of meassuring the speed of transport.
Numerical modelling of resealing effects in earthen dams
Bredy, Somia ; Hodák,, Jiří (referee) ; Miča, Lumír (referee) ; Jandora, Jan (advisor)
This study focuses on the most important sealing technologies; Diaphragm walls and Jet grouting as a major most popular reliable option when it comes to engineering constructions rehabilitation. Those two methods have been used in Karolinka dam for reducing seepage through its body. Diaphragm walls were used along the dam, and jet grouting was used at both ends of the dam. The study deals with the possibility of numerical modelling of these two technologies. It is included how to carry out, interaction with adjacent soil, cement shrinkage, slope stability, changing of pore water pressure with the time, dynamic analysis of drilling rod and the effects of both technologies on slope stability, seepage and settlement of dam. This modelling was conducted with the finite element method based on software Plaxis 3D.
