Case Study of physioterapy treament of a patient after fracture of the proximal humerus treated by osteosynthesis
Sejkorová, Barbora ; Neuwirthová, Svatava (advisor) ; Mahr, Edwin (referee)
Title: Case study of physiotherapy treatment of a patient after fracture of the proximal humerus treated by osteosynthesis This thesis deals with the issues of physiotherapy treatment after fractures of the proximal humerus treated by osteosynthesis. On the basis of knowledge of functional anatomy, kinesiology, traumatology, orthopaedics and by Czech and foreign literature there is an effort to clarify the time and practice schedule of post-operative rehabilitation for the above diagnosis. The work is divided into a theoretical and a practical part. The theoretical part deals with the function of the shoulder girdle, its individual structures and the influence of segmental defects of the shoulder girdle on upper limb mobility. It also deals with proximal humerus fractures and their treatment. In conclusion, it discusses the issue of post-operative rehabilitation in terms of time and practice. The practical part describes the specific case study of a female patient after the osteosynthesis of the proximal humerus. It includes an initial kinesiological analysis on the basis of what a physiotherapy procedure had been applied to improve the overall mobility of the upper limb. After finishing treatment a final kinesiological analysis and evaluation of the effect of therapy have been performed, both...
Possibility of using Aqua Therapy for shoulder stabilization
Sulková, Ivana ; Pánek, David (advisor) ; Pavlů, Dagmar (referee)
Title: Possibility of using Aqua Therapy for shoulder stabilization The aim of this thesis was to refer to possibility of using Aqua Therapy in Physiotherapy, especially to possibility of using Aqua Therapy for shoulder girdle stabilization. The thesis is supplemented by pilot study, witch compare activity of scapula stabilizing muscles dutiny movement on land with Thera-Band and in water with different equipment. Activity of selected muscles was documented and compared using surfaře electromyography. The results indicate flatter curve of selected muscles activation and their ko-contraction during movement in water condition. The results also refers to no significant differences in muscle activation in water and on dry land. Water exercise demonstrated in this study can by considered to be effective for improvement of scapular stabilization. Keywords: Aqua Therapy, water exercise, electromyografy, water EMG, scapular stabilization

BACHEROL THESIS ABSTRACT Author's first name and surname: Jakub Kolarčík Bacherol thesis supervizor: Mgr. Jindřiška Hálková Oponent: Title of bacherol thesis: Activation of deep stabilizing system and its impact on scapula stability and shoulder centralization in patients suffering from shoulder pain syndrome Abstract: Bachelor thesis is focused on the impact of activation deep stabilizing system an its impact on scapular stabilization and shoulder centration in patients suffering from shoulder pain syndrome. For purposes of this work three subjects with shoulder pain syndrome of different etiologies were selected. Age of those subjects is between 23 and 78 years. During 3 months time every subject undertook ten therapeutical interventions. Goal of this thesis was to find out if there is a correlation amid shoulder pain, stability of the scapula, shoulder centration and activity of the deep stabilizing system of spine. Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization (DNS), Acral coactivation therapy (ACT) and Coordinatively-loading kinesiotherapy (K-Z K) Anatomy and kinesiology of the shoulder complex, deep stabilizing system of the spine, selected diagnoses and therapeutic methods used during therapy are described in the theoretical part of the thesis. Three case reports of patients suffering with shoulder pain are...
