Hospice care through the eyes of the general public and health care professionals

Bachelor's dissertation "Hospic care from laymen's and nurses' perspective" assesses laymen's and nurses' knowledge of hospic and palliative care. The dissertation is divided into two parts - theoretical and empirical. The theoretical part explains basic terminology, forms of hospic care and goals of this dissertational paper including history of hospic movement. It does not omit the conception of death by Elizabeth Kübler Ross and her contribution to the terminal patient's nurse care. This dissertation focuses on legislation and the knowledge of hospic and palliative care among laymen and nurses and then it compares and contrasts the hospic care between the Czech Republic and the world. The empirical part sets the goals and working hypothesis for a research. Prime analysis is based on real data from questionnaires. Research outcomes help to understand the knowledge rate of hospic and palliative care among laymen and nurses.
The role of the media as an information source for parents on maternity and parental leave

The diploma thesis focuses on the role of the media in the lives of parents on maternity and parental leave and how they satisfy their needs through use of media. The thesis is based on the uses and gratification theory and especially on the typology of media-personal interactions defined by Denis McQuail. The aim of the thesis is to find out, through twenty interviews with mothers and fathers living in the household with a child or children, for what purpose the media are used by this specific group. The thesis includes a theoretical anchoring of the approach of uses and gratification theory concerning its historical development during the 20th century, but it also focuses on its concept at present after the spread of new media. The theoretical part of the thesis also deals with the characteristics of maternity and parental leave and it tries to identify everyday activities associated with this period and its positive and negative aspects. The methodological part describes the area of qualitative research and related procedures, including the choice of data collection method, which is a semi-structured interview, and the characteristics of the research sample. Motivation teachers DDM of motivation techniques

The thesis deals with the motivation of teaching and external DDM personnel from the perspective of motivational theories. The theoretical part contains the definition of motivation and concepts related to it. It mainly deals with theories of motivation with an emphasis on Maslow's hierarchy of needs. The practical part deals with the motivation of workers and DDM search needs that motivate workers to work DDM. Motivation in terms of motivating teachers rated the theory of free time and outside workers. DDM Prachatice, DDM Vimperk, DDM Netolice and DDM Volary. Needs have been identified (in terms of Maslow's hierarchy of needs) that motivate employees to work free time teacher in the DDM. Among the major needs motivating to work in DDM include the need for certainty, the need for personal growth, the need for positive relations with DDM. For educators consider essential in responding to their needs fulfillment, ie, self-fulfillment, self-improvement, confidence and respect.
