Increasing Efficiency of Intake Port for SI Engine
Herka, Miroslav ; Drápal, Lubomír (referee) ; Svída, David (advisor)
The thesis describes design solutions the inlet port of the modern combustion engine. The thesis describes basic properties of the inlet port and the types of flow. It is focused the experimental measure of the real inlet port engine Husaberg. The results of the experimental measure are compared with results of the simulation in software CFD. Moreover, it describes creation of 3D parametric model in software Pro/Engineer based on the real geometry exquired from software ATOS. At the end of the work are compared with results of the simulation origin geometry inlet port with origin inlet valve with different changes shapes of valve.
Cylinder Head for Single Cylinder Engine
Lesák, Tomáš ; Beran, Martin (referee) ; Svída, David (advisor)
This thesis is dealing with structure design solutions of combustion chambers and intake ports in petrol combustion engines, including their basic properties. Part of the thesis is focused on experimental measurements of a real intake port of Mikron III engine. Also it describes creation of 3D model for CFD flow simulation, optimization proposals for improved engine induction and results evaluation.
Optimisation the internal combustion engine intake port
Michal, Tomáš ; Svída, David (referee) ; Vančura, Jan (advisor)
The thesis is focused on optimizing the inlet port of the modern combustion engine. Of describes the preparation of the 3D model in ProEngineer software environment based on real geometry obtained by reverse engineering system and method ATOS CFD simulates the flow of the inlet manifold. At the end of the work are compared with results of computer simulation of the real test of the meter.
Design of turbine engine inlet in NACA-duct configuration
Babinec, Viktor ; Navrátil, Jan (referee) ; Doupník, Petr (advisor)
This master thesis is focused on design and aerodynamic analysis of subsonic turbine engine inlet in NACA duct configuration for unmanned aircraft. The first part of this paper is methodics for design considerations for NACA duct, which is based on theoretical analysis of this type of inlet. The acquired knowledge is used to design an inlet for the specified unmanned aircraft that is subject of CFD analysis. The impact of deflectors is considered in the evaluation and the solution is compared to the S-duct inlet. The proposed inlet with deflectors meets DC60 distortion criterion for all specified cases and the pressure losses requirements are met for lower velocities. Based on the results, the recommended application is for aircraft that flies in optimal design conditions for most of the mission.
Flow characteristics measurement of intake and exhaust ports on SF 260 flowbench
Školař, Karel ; Ramík, Pavel (referee) ; Beran, Martin (advisor)
This Bachelor’s thesis deals with experimental modifications in order to increase the filling efficiency of the combustion engine. The thesis contains a search for issues dealing with increasing the filling efficiency of the engine. To verify the modifications on the cylinder head, measurements were performed in the laboratory at the flow bench. At the end, the measured results were compared and evaluated.
Optimalization of Intake Manifold for SI Engine
Vávrovec, Jiří ; Beran, Martin (referee) ; Svída, David (advisor)
This thesis focus with construction design intake manifold of four stroke engine rallyecross division 1A. For improvement observant come into operating here derive benefit from theory tuned supercharging, which is based on tuning longitudes sucking conduit. Derive benefit woolen effect. Driving unit is here used four cylinders, water-cooled, atmospheric combustion engine from car VW Polo 6N GTI. Design is created so, to answer condition division 1A.
Optimalization of Intake Manifold for SI Engine
Foral, Martin ; Vančura, Jan (referee) ; Svída, David (advisor)
The work deals with design solutions to the intake manifold modern contemporary internal combustion engines. Then describes the types of flow and structural design of ports, including the intake of their basic properties. The thesis also compare the results of the analysis and design optimization based on simulation of flow inlet port and measure the actual inlet port.
Experimental determination of flow characteristics the intake and exhaust ports of cylinder head
Mecerod, Vít ; Svída, David (referee) ; Beran, Martin (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is focused on research of flow characteristics of cylinder head ports and its measurements using flow benches. Special focus is being placed on formation of discharge coefficient as it is one of the major outputs of said measurements. Usage of coefficients is than discussed as they are widely used for calibration of 1D simulations.
