Modification of experimental arrangement for bearings testing for application of acoustic emission method.
Suchanek, Daniel ; Mazůrek, Ivan (referee) ; Mazal, Pavel (advisor)
Master’s thesis is focused on modification of experimental arrangement for radial ball bearing contact endurance testing so that the diagnostic method of acoustic emission could be applied. There is an assumption that AE method is able to identify damage to bearings in earlier stages than the vibration diagnostics. Design modifications also allow the addition of modern vibrodiagnostic equipment to a system.
Construction of reversible swirl turbine
Kosar, Jakub ; Štégner, Ladislav (referee) ; Haluza, Miloslav (advisor)
The thesis deals with the construction design of reversible swirl turbine used in a tidal range power plant for bidirectional operation. The theoretical part provides an overview of state-of-the-art technologies in the usage of tidal energy, mostly by means of tidal range and stream tidal power plants. It also analyses respective designs of tidal turbines and their advantages and disadvantages. The practical part of the thesis demonstrates individual steps applied when examining loading forces and also shows the design method and strength inspection procedure of the turbine and its parts, especially of the impeller, gears, shafts and bearings. Lastly, the paper outlines the selection approach of the most appropriate water plant generator.
Design of the test rig for the observations of the lubricant distribution in the rolling bearing
Okál, Michal ; Hartl, Martin (referee) ; Košťál, David (advisor)
Given diploma thesis deals with the design and realization of a device whose purpose is to simulate real condition in the contact area of deep groove ball bearings. Direct observation of such area was then carried out. Initial part of the thesis addresses principles occurring in ball bearings, such as friction and lubrication and wear mechanisms. Several devices which are commonly used for bearing lubrication studies are then described at the work. Subsequently, author’s solution was introduced with the output of Ball-on-ring device. Ball-on-ring configuration is key feature due to its geometry since it enables to create identical conditions as those which occur in ball bearings such as contact pressure and velocities. Lubricant distribution by the contact area is analysed with fluorescent microscopy. Part of this thesis is a validation experiment and drawing documentation of the device.
Modern Turbocharger Rotor Supports
Kortán, Daniel ; Raffai, Peter (referee) ; Knotek, Jiří (advisor)
This bachelor thesis focuses on the options of impositions of turbocharger rotors. The first part focuses on the construction of turbochargers and description of the principle of turbocharging engines with internal combustion. The second part focuses on the description of the construction of rolling and sliding bearings and explanation of options the particular types of impositions used in turbochargers nowadays.
Experimental observation of grease migration in a rolling bearing simulator
Palán, Miroslav ; Okál, Michal (referee) ; Košťál, David (advisor)
This thesis is using fluorescence microscopy to separately observe components of grease lubricate in simulator of ball rolling bearing. Simulator is in the configuration ball-on-disk when the disk was replaced by the outside ring made by tempered glass. This ring allows light passing to normally unseeable places of steel bearing. By the separate study of greases particles, coloured with special fluorescent dye, was found that method of fluorescence microscopy can be used to gain information about grease lubricated process in bearing.
Development of method for lubrication regime evaluation in rolling bearing
Valenta, Jakub ; Čermák, Jan (referee) ; Šperka, Petr (advisor)
The aim of this master’s thesis is to develop measuring methods for evaluation of the lubrication regime in a rolling bearing. The first part of thesis maps several measuring methods according to which the lubrication mode can be evaluated. Based on the assessment of this part, electrical monitoring methods were selected. For application of these methods was constructed testing device with rolling bearing. Specific measuring chains based on selected methods were designed and verified by using initial tests on a ball-on-disk tribometer. According to the results of these initial measurements was selected and applied suitable measuring chain to the selected test device. In the end, there was a successful measuring the lubrication parameter on the rolling bearing. Additionally, other tests dealing with the influence of temperature and type of oil on the measurement itself were performed.
Measurement of Bearings Power Losses
Musil, Roman ; Raffai, Peter (referee) ; Drápal, Lubomír (advisor)
The intention of this bachelor's thesis is to handle an information about the measurement of losses in radial slide bearings and rolling bearings. In a first section, there is described friction in bearings. The next section is about the comparing machines with static and dynamic conditions. Third section describe methods and means of experimental measurement of losses in bearings under different operating conditions. In fourth section, there is introduced the numerical model for friction losses. In the last section, there is summary of machines and there is depicted possible future development too.
Deformation analysis of the bearing of the main shaft of the wind power plant
Doležel, Miroslav ; Pokorný, Jan (referee) ; Vosynek, Petr (advisor)
This work studies a load distribution in spherical roller bearings of a main shaft in a wind power plant. The effect of the shaft and bearing houses as flexible bodies is considered for a particular geometry. The data are collected and processed by numerical computational modelling using the finite element method. Several complexity levels of models are studied. These analyses are also compared with the data obtained from the software Mesys. The results show that an inclusion of a flexible bearing housing has the greatest effect on the load distribution in the internal geometry of the bearing. The load distribution is also dependent on the direction of the radial load force. The most complex models are dependent on the friction coefficient in the internal bearing geometry, thus revealing the problem of interactions among the bearings. Knowledge of the load distribution contributes to the design of more reliable rolling bearings.
