Analysis of children's reaction time

This diploma thesis deals with children‘s reaction time. The theoretical part of this work describes children as vulnerable road users and discusses methods of measuring reaction time. The practical part presents some realized experiments refer to the children’s reaction time and their results evaluation.
Characteristics of Old-Age Drivers in Terms of Road Traffic Safety

The aim of this work is to evaluate current procedures and to refine assessment of impact connected to the drivers' age and traffic accidents. The theoretical part describes senior drivers, traffic accident rate of seniors and decreased ability to drive influenced by age. The practical part is case report of traffic accidents caused by senior drivers, measuring reaction time and the evaluation of these measurements. I have developed some proposals for seniors to prevent the risk of the occurrence of traffic accidents.
Traffic behavior of cyclists as traffic participants

This bachelor thesis is focused on the traffic behavior of cyclists as a road users. In the first part of the work is a theoretical framework to help the reader to understand the second part, which is already about and traffic behavior of cyclists in practical life. First, the influence of cyclist on the occurrence of traffic defects is sought. Then cycling behavior is studied in numbers for 10 years. At the end of the work is presented a proposal to improve the traffic situation on Czech roads.

Quantification of expenses in case of human death due to traffic accident and finding ways how to prevent them

This diploma thesis examines the issue of acceptability of a particular transportation project. It is objective is to capture the expenses which arise from a traffic accident. on this basis the goal is to express all expenses of the human death and to compare them with the specific transportation project. In addition to this, different means of accident prevention are to be figured out within the support of public safety. The whole thesis is split into four parts. The first part describes the accidents on Czech roads. The second part deals with the specific expression methodology of the human death. The third shows the real transportation project and the last section evaluates if the expenditure on the implementation of particular project exceed the expenses caused by the accident.
