Roundel in the castle of Jindřichův Hradec with the focus on its function in the age of its origin

The bachelor thesis "The roundel in Jindřichův Hradec with the focus on the cultural function in the time of its foundation" deals primarily with architecture and decoration of round arbour in the castle gardens in Jindřichův Hradec in a context of its function. Introductory part focuses on history of development of the castle as a whole, which was rebuilt in Renaissance period as a manor. Main part of the thesis describes its architecture, decoration and iconography and also deals with matters of function of the building and its relation to ground-plan and decorations. It also gives overview of architects and builders as well as the taskmaster of the building, Master Adam II. from Hradec. In following part are particular sections of roundel compared to other similar buildings in Czech Republic. The final chapter of thesis describes the historical details of cultural life of nobility.
The Castle Fortress of Florian Gryspek of Griesbach in Kaceřov

The Castle Fortress of Florian Gryspek of Griesbach in Kaceřov The thesis is focused on the fortification of the Renaissance chateau and its inclusion into the cultural and historical context. The theme is follow up of author's previous thesis which was focus on the architecture and history of Kaceřov. It was described the bastion fortification based on the iconographic documentation. A separate part of the thesis was focused on present form fortifications. There were summarized the possible reasons why Florian Griespek invested into the extensive defense of the representative residence. The author linked the modernization of fortifications in middle Europe with Turkish raids (first half of the 16th century). The author is trying to do fully recapitulation of the historical development of the bastion fortification in Italy and the gradual transformation of individual component into Central Europe after summarizing the literature. It was paid attention to military architects and their literary activity. Based on the Renaissance literature the author focused on the fortifications of Sebastiano Serlio and Francesco di Giorgio, who published the Trattato di architettura civile e militare (after 1482). Protestant St. Salvator Church in Prague in a period context

Thesis focuses on monographic elaboration of protestant church of Saint Salvator located in the Old Town of Prague and its wider context. Thesis firstly works with historical context of church foundation in the beginning of 17.th century. This chapter contains not only the situation between the Habsburgs and the protestants, but also the reflection of protestants liturgy on sacred space. Thesis continues with the historical development of the church since its foundation in 1611 until today. Additionally is a detailed description of the interior and exterior of the church created, including description of very little preserved rare interior paintings. The aim of this bachelor thesis is to describe process of the structural development of the Queen Anne's Summer Palace at Prague Castle, with the emphasis on the period in years 1538-1564, including the formal description of the building.
Questions of Saxon Renaissance

Dealing with both practical and consequently theoretical aspects, the thesis treats the Saxon Renaissance with the emphasis on the architecture in the Czech Republic. The purpose of the first part was to put together a list of historical monuments. Supported by previous research the selection method was determined and the individual buildings described. As a result we organized them into types and specified the Saxon Renaissance architectural features. Then we discussed broader issues related to the Saxon Renaissance architecture that were: the influence of Saxon timber-framed architecture, the origins and the role of the portal with seat shaped niches in the jambs; we re-examined the importance of the architectural commissions of the house of Pernštejn and we proposed to link the Bohemian Saxon Renaissance architecture with Czech early renaissance terracotta pieces. The second part of the thesis further explores the contextual issues. It tracks the early sixteen century French architecture and focuses on the German renaissance architecture, that of Saxony in particular. Then some theoretical reflections on the character of transalpine architecture are presented. Building Transformations of the Castle and Chateau Frýdlant in Renaissance Period

The Barchelor thesis " The architectural changes of the castle and the chateau Frýdlant in Renaissance" especially architecture of the castle and the chateau Frydlant building transformations of this castle during ownership of the House of Redern (since 1558). The House of Redern is the object of this thesis as well and also his building and chartering activity in Frydlant. This activity is connected with important historical person Melchior of Redern (1555-1600). Překlad: For instance the castle Nalezení sv. Kříže in Frýdlant is ranked among important orders of this age, where Kateřina Redernová give to build Burial (Funeral) Chapel that is a top renaissance art. This Chapel was made by Erhard Heinrich and Marcuss Spazzio was entrusted with the build of this chapel. He was the builder of the frýdlant down castle and other renaissance building. For a coherent summary of the history of the castle and chateau of Frýdlant there is a summary of history of a several descents, that lived there and influenced its building development. In this thesis I also mentioned the problems of a founded sgrafit, of which I found a reference in restoring reports.
