EU Regional policy and its contribution to the protection of the environment

The main objective of this bachelor work is to evaluate, how in the reality of the Czech republic the structural funds of the EU can be granted and how these finances can be used to the improvement of the environment and to the support of the sustainable growth. I focus on the department of waste economy more closely. As a practical example of dotation from the european funds the Biogas station in the town of Žďár nad Sázavou is introduced. Furthermore, the work defines Regional policy of the EU and focuses on The Operational Programme Environment.

EU Structural funds in the Czech Republic and their drawing in the Karlovy Vary region

The bachelor thesis analyses the whole process and condition of drawing of the EU structural funds in the Karlovy Vary region. The thesis is divided into four chapters. In the first chapter terms connected with the issue of the funds and regional policy are explained. In the second chapter the characteristics of each fund is provided. In the third chapter it is aimed at the role of funds in terms of regional policy. The last chapter provides detailed description of EU funds drawing in the Karlovy Vary region.

Building golf course ussing European funds

From among all the presented financial tools the one which meets best the project requirements is the measure Rural development program {--} axis III. 1.3. Promotion of tourism, which implements the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development. As indicated by the title, the fund supports projects that may improve the quality of tourism in rural areas. The golf course is exactly the project that fits this category.

This bachelor thesis outlines the concept of Drawing resources from European Science Foundations. The theoretic part of the thesis describes Regional Policy, Structural Funds and European Science Foundation. Furthermore it concentrates on Operational Programmes ESF, which specifies the aims of submitted projects. The practical part of the thesis describes the project "Celkové zkvalitnění výuky na ZŠ s důrazem na zlepšení situace znevýhodněných žáků a usnadnění jejich zařazení do výukového procesu", which was realized at the Primary school Náměstí Svobody in Prague 6 in years 2006-2008.

Regional differentiation in the EU

The aim of the thesis is the regional differentiation analysis in the European Union territory. Thesis is focused on the EU Regional policy (its origin, development, objectives and instruments) and mainly on the demographic and economic differentiation in the EU. The demographic differentiation is qualified through the use of natural population increase, net migration and settlement structure. For the economic differentiation there have been used indicators such as GDP per inhabitant, employment and unemployment rate.

Structural Funds EU in the Czech Republic with a focus on the tourist trade

First chapter contains the characterictic of programming period 2007 - 2013, main objectives and instruments of regional policy EU. There is also description of the situation concerning European Funds in the Czech Republic including main strategic documents and operational programmes. Second chapter deals with particular programmes that include subvention of projects in tourist trade in programming period 2007 - 2013. For illustration there are also introduced some examples of successfully realized projects. Last chapter provides an overview of using financial resources from the Structural Funds in the Czech Republic both in the previous programming period 2004 - 2006 and in the new period 2007 - 2013.
