Upper Extremity Prosthetics
Tomanová, Markéta ; Janoušek, Oto (referee) ; Kolářová, Jana (advisor)
Bachelor´s thesis summarizes the knowledge about prosthetic substitutes upper extremities, with a focus on myoelectric prosthesis, the bionic arm. Practical work provides an overview of the different types of upper limb prostheses, starting with cosmetic prostheses without the active functions, ending with active myoelectric hand. Literature search is performed, including the summary table comparing the advantages and disadvantages of each upper limb prostheses. The next section deals with directly myoelectric extremities, with a view to prosthesis individual companies to specialize their production of these prostheses. The practical part was focused on recording electromyographic signals directly intended to control myo-electric prostheses. The proposed block diagram shows the bionic arm components required for its activity. The included software allows to process signals measured using the Biopac system. The result is a functional work program based on the principle of detecting overthreshold impulses. Based on the resulting binary outputs there are the final results of the prosthesis control, both text and graphics, shown after adjusting.
Analysis of the functionality of the current transtibial prostheses
Nagy, Ondřej ; Šolc, Zdeněk (advisor) ; Černý, Pavel (referee)
1 ABSTRACT Title: Analysis of the functionality of the current transtibial prostheses Objectives: The aim of the thesis is to describe a history of the development of prosthetics from its inception to the present and describe the basic structure and distribution of lower limb prostheses. The thesis will also include analysis of functionality existing transtibial prostheses. To determine the required documents and clarify key issues: " whether transtibial prostheses are now able to fully replace the patient lost limbs" will be used poll/questionnaire . Methods: In the theoretical part, I used the literature search. I have analyzed the accumulated data from professional publications and books. In the empirical section, I did a quantitative research to determine whether transtibial prosthesis fully replace missing to the handicapped persons. Results: I think that the current prosthetics will replace to patients the functionality of the real limbs. Keywords: prostheses , leg prosthesis, femoral prosthesis , exartikulation in the knee, the development of prosthetic devices, amputation , foot, stump, construction , transtibial prosthesis
Upper-Extremity Prosthetic fitting after amputation
Šnytr, Jan ; Půlpán, Rudolf (advisor) ; Čichoň, Rostislav (referee)
Title: Upper-Extremity Prosthetic fitting after amputation. Objectives: The aim of this bachelor thesis is to provide a comprehensive and ilustrating summary of findings from the field of orthotics and prosthetics , specifically the issue of upper limb amputation and subsequent prosthetic equipment. The core is to describe the technological production processes, policies, principles and types of upper limb prostheses and care of the pacient, so the thesis could serve as a teaching tool suitable for various specializations. Methods: For creation of thesis was used qualitative research method of data collection and analysis of secondary data from scientific articles, magazines and publications. The method used for data verification was informal chat with expert. Results: The results provide sufficient evidence for the use as a guide and tool of prosthetic procedures. Keywords: prostheses, upper-extremity prostheses, prosthetic fitting, amputation, upper-extremity amputation, rehabilitation
