This thesis would like to inform the reader of a new crime in the Czech republic which is dangerous pursuit (stalking) and it aims at analysis of current legislation. It attemps to define dangerous pursuit, the emergence of this phenomenon from a historical point of view as well as its current interpretation. It also covers the penalties that can be imposed on the criminals. Moreover, it also looks at victims of dangerous pursuit and effective ways of helping the victims as well as the criminals.

"The issue of stalking in modern times" Stalking is not a new phenomenon, but modern times, and especially the very dynamic development of modern technologies that have gradually become part of our lives, are taking this type of crime to a completely different dimension. This rigorous thesis deals mainly with the criminal offense of dangerous stalking according to § 354 of the Criminal Code and the related issue of misuse of modern technologies for the persecution of the victim, it also focuses on the motivation of the perpetrator and the behavior of the victim. The theoretical part of the thesis summarizes the legislative basis of dangerous stalking, describes the ways of possible use of available technologies for stalking. It also deals with the typology of perpetrators of dangerous stalking and their criminal motivation. The practical part of the work consists of seven case studies of this negative phenomenon from the Czech environment. The first case study focuses on a lawsuit resolved by the Municipal Court in Prague in early 2008. Title Criminal and criminological aspects of stalking Abstract Submitted rigorous thesis deals with the modern phenomenom of stalking. The aim of this academic paper is to present this issue comprehensively from both criminal and criminological aspects. This rigorous thesis consists of 16 chapters. These chapters can be divided into two large parts - criminal and criminological. Research of the problematics of stalking have got a rich tradition in foreign professional literature, we can find there also some empirical research studies. Furthermore, there are countries that haveissued relevant anti- stalking regulations already in the 90's of the 20th Century. On the contrary, in the Czech Republic, stalking was included as a part of Force of New Offence under the Czech Criminal Code no. 40/2009only in 2010. In criminological part of this rigorous thesis I apply general knowledge from forensic psychology, psychiatry, sociology and other social sciences. Moreover, I illustrate the cases on real-life examples. First chapters are dedicated to present all key characteristic features of stalking, its historical context and to cover the selected empirical reasearches about this complex issue. Translation of Julio Cortazar into Czech language. Pioneers, suppressed and recent translators: Cortazar's legacy still alive.

(in English): Julio Cortázar is considered as one of the greatest literary figures of Argentina and Latin America of the last century and to him is dedicated this master's thesis, focused on translation of his work into Czech language. First part of the thesis is theoretically based, dealing with biography, creation and style of the author and then moves to figures of his Czech translators, problems arising from translation and perception and development of translations of Cortázar's works in Czech environment. The second part is practically oriented, pursuing the analysis and comparison of translations of specific works - two translations of a story The Pursuer by translators Kamil Uhlíř and Jan Machej and two versions of translation of a novel Hopscotch by Vladimír Medek.

This thesis deals with crime of dangerous harassement (stalking) in Czech Republic. It focuses on current legislation and possible future legislation changes. It deals with the most common types of harassement and its specific relationship to domestic violence. It focuses not just on the personality of offender but also on status of the victims and its possibilities of protection against stalking. It also deals with the penalties imposed for this crime under Czech law and performs comparative study of Czech and international regulations, especially of Austria, German and the United States of America.

This Bachelor´s thesis concentrates on attitude of the professional public about danger chase, or stalking. Permanent stalking is quite serious crime. Danger stalking is penalized from 1st January, 2010 in the Czech Republic. Moreover in accordance with the principle ?ULTIMA RACIO? the Stalking was established as the facts of the case in the Penal code nr. 40/2009. The theoretical part of thesis has an interdisciplinary character. Point of view is considered in two levels. There is a sociological and a juridical level. In this part is described current state and short history of phenomenon stalking; furthermore sorts of stalking and typology of offenders. There is also described the impact of stalking for victim, and the ways how to face up to danger stalking. The conclusion describes legislation and statistical data of stalking. The main goal of this thesis was ascertain, whether there is a public requirement to stalker is being penalized. Consequently, I determined partial aims. Is danger stalking frequent phenomenon and is the stalking so serious crime that it is necessary to punishe stalker in accordance with the criminal code. I used the qualitative method in this research. I chose technique of half-structured interview for collecting of information. Collected notes were recorded by word-for-word transcription. There was used the method of open coding for data analysis. There were nine respondents in my thesis. These respondents are experts for issue of danger stalking. The research showed, that there is an agreement among experts that stalking is serious, however not frequent crime. There was also consensus about necessity to classify stalking as the crime. Moreover most of them agree with present criminal sanction. There was not any respondent with other opinion. The result of the research corresponds with my conviction. The thesis refers to requirement of Czech legislation. It could be contribution for non-professional, or charity organization that concern on stalking. Results of thesis should be used as the feedback for specialized public, or professionals.
