Manager profile in social services organizations

A manager's profile is a characteristic of a person exercising a managerial position. Within this diploma thesis, the profile of the manager is related to organizations providing social services. This person must have the qualities, knowledge, skills and competences that ensure the ability to carry out the relevant work activities successfully. The main goal of the work was to find out and describe the profile of a manager in organizations providing social services in the South Bohemian region. In relation to the goal of the work, research questions were used, which were focused on the profile of the manager. The first research question aims to find out what are the competencies, skills, knowledge, characteristics and scope of work of a manager in social work. The second research question aims to find out what the difference in the workload of a manager in social services with respect to the period or day is. The last research question asked about the specifics of work activities for individual managers in social services with regard to selected types of organizations This diploma thesis is divided into theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part describes social work, social services, organizations providing social services, management and the profile of the manager. The practical part describes the methodology of data collection and processing, the method of research implementation, the characteristics of the research group, the ethical rules of research and research results. With the help of research, the profile of a manager in organizations providing social services was described in detail. Within the research, the characteristics, skills, knowledge, competencies and scope of work of these managers were analysed in detail. A schedule of managers' workload within a calendar year has been created. Although the research did not comprehensively prove that there was a significant difference between selected aspects of the manager's profile with regard to the selected types of organizations, the results revealed several interesting facts in the field of work of managers across organizations. The information obtained about the profile of the manager in organizations providing social services will be used to create a comprehensive set of management in organizations in the social field, or the results may serve as a stimulus for further expanding research.

Anotace: Tématem této bakalářské práce je profil manažera a možnosti jeho rozvoje. Práce je rozdělena do několika částí, které mají vliv na definování této problematiky. V první části jsou popsány pojmy management a manažer. Dalším krokem je sestavení samotného profilu manažera (ten je rozdělen na profil pracovní, profil společenský a profil osobní). Popisuji tedy, co všechno obnáší kvalitní práce manažera, jaký na něj má vliv společnost a svět celkově a jak ho ovlivňuje to, jakou má povahu a charakter. V práci je také část zaměřená na rozvoj a vzdělávání manažerů. Zmiňuji zde, proč je pro manažery rozvoj důležitý a jaké existují metody rozvíjení. Cílem práce bylo sestavit teoretický profil manažera, definovat rozvojové možnosti a inspirovat k samotnému rozvíjení se.
