Waste management within the public infrastructure of the selected municipality

The bachelor thesis deals with the analysis of waste management in the selected municipality. The theoretical part contains the basic concepts in the field of waste management, legislation, collection possibilities, methods of waste management and disposal. The practical part deals with the analysis of waste management in the municipality of Pacov. The bachelor thesis specify the amount of the waste produced and compares them in the monitored years. It is also dedicated to working with companies that provide repurchase of electrical equipment. The conclusion is an evaluation of the current state of waste in the monitored area, possible proposals and recommendations for eventually improvement of waste management.

Advanced Prognostic Models in Waste Management

The issued Circular economy package defines the measures for the transition from a linear economy to a circular economy. The specific targets are implemented in the legislation of the EU Member States. Waste production forecasts are key information for modifying existing infrastructure to allow a smooth transition to a circular economy. This work presents a universal approach to waste production forecasting using optimization models including data preparation, calculation and processing into a suitable form for users. The forecast emphasizes the preparatory phases and the clean-up of input data from anomalies. The modeling principle is based on trend modeling in historical data with subsequent correction to restore the links between territorial divisions and waste fractions. Forecast uncertainty is described by confidence intervals constructed using a bootstrap approach. The impact of specific measures on the form of waste management can be modeled using projection. The presented methodology is developed in general and is a suitable basis for strategic planning at the local, national and supranational levels.

Material Flows and Environmental Impacts of s-WEEE in the Czech Republic

This thesis is a comprehensive study describing and quantifying material flows of waste electric and electronic equipment (WEEE) in the Czech Republic; specifically the material flow of small waste electric and electronic equipment (s-WEEE) as well as representative substances. The studied material flows were estimated regarding aspects of the environmental impact. The End-of-Life mobile phone is seen as a typical representative of s-WEEE ; therefore material flows of mobile phones are described in this thesis as well. To put it in concrete figures, approximately 124 thousand tons of WEEE from households originated in the Czech Republic in 2010, where each inhabitant got rid off 4 pieces of WEEE in average. Further, total production calculating also consumer-like WEEE from companies and institutions was around 141 thousand tons in 2010. S-WEEE present around 15% from the total amount of WEEE originating in 2010; however it is more than 80% as regards the number of pieces. Despite of that fact the recycling potential of Au for instance is slightly higher by s-WEEE than by large WEEE (63kg/year compared to the 59kg/year respectively). Study of durability of concrete with recycled concrete and brick

This bachelor thesis deals with issues of recycled concrete. The theoretical part describes the process of recycling the construction and demolition waste and describes requirements for recycled aggregate and recycled concrete in Czech republic and some of the member states of EU. The experimental part is focused on design of concrete with a substitution of coarse aggregate with a recycled concrete and brick aggregate.

Zhodnocení způsobu nakládání s odpadem ve městě Jablonec nad Nisou

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to evaluate the method of waste management in the city of Jablonec nad Nisou. First part of this work includes the current basic knowledge as legislative regulation, international agreements, basic technical terms in the field of waste management, responsibilities in waste management. Further more thesis contains detail information about development of waste production in last few years. The research section of this paper evaluates specific information about the city and its waste management, deals with waste collecting company in Jablonec nad Nisou, with city scrap yard as well. The basic of this work is evaluation of the data of waste production in Jablonec nad Nisou and their comparison with the Czech Republic average. The last section summarizes the information and goals that lead to improvement of waste management in Jablonec nad Nisou.

Analýza systému nakládání s odpadem v obci Velká Bíteš

This diploma thesis deals with the analysis of the waste management system in Vel-ka Bites. The first part describes the legislative requirements related to the given pro-blem. In the introductory part of the thesis the legislation and valid legal regulations in the given issue are approximated. Described are specific types of waste and waste management. Outline of the Waste Management Plan of the Czech Republic and Vyso-cina Region. The content of the next chapter is a detailed description of the municipality of Velka Bites and the waste management system. The economic costs in the waste ma-nagement business are also specified. In order to present the benefits of waste ma-nagement in the municipality, individual data must be compared with data in another municipality with approximately the same number of inhabitants.

Zhodnocení systému nakládání s odpadem ve městě Kroměříž

ABSTRACT This diploma thesis deals with evaluation of the waste management system in Kroměříž. The introductory part is devoted to the legislative regulations related to the issue of waste generated in the given town. Furthermore, the thesis deals with the overall waste production in the Czech Republic and the Zlín Region. The practical part focuses on the waste management in Kroměříž compared with Vsetín and the Zlín region. The resulting data was processed using basic descriptive statistics. The results are compared with the waste production in Kroměříž in relation to values per capita within the Czech Republic, Zlín Region and Vsetín. In the concluding part of the thesis, an evaluation of achieved results and a proposal for possible improvement measures in waste management in Kroměříž are presented.

Produkce odpadů a nakládání s nimi v roce 2015 podle ISOH

Sběr dat o produkci a nakládání s odpady vychází z ohlašovacích povinností stanovených v zákoně č. 185/2001 Sb., o odpadech, v platném znění a jeho prováděcích předpisech. Způsob plnění ohlašovací povinnosti upravuje zákon č. 25/2008 Sb., o integrovaném registru znečišťování životního prostředí a integrovaném systému plnění ohlašovacích povinností v oblasti životního prostředí, v platném znění. Na základě dat z Informačního systému odpadového hospodářství (ISOH), který pro Ministerstvo životního prostředí provozuje CENIA, česká informační agentura životního prostředí, jsme zpracovali přehled produkce odpadů a nakládání s nimi v ČR v roce 2015.
