This bachelor thesis focuses on analyzing the current state of the press line and proposing its optimization using simulation. The theoretical part is dedicated to production processes and lean manufacturing methods. In the analytical part, the company in question is introduced. This is followed by an analysis of the current state of the production line. The design section describes variants of simulation models of both the current and optimized process forms and evaluates the benefits of the proposed solution.
Proposal to Introduce a New Product to the Production Line
Dobiáš, Bohdan ; Bulawa, Lukáš (referee) ; Videcká, Zdeňka (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals in detail with the description of a product for an existing production line in the company. During the analytical part, both products, the production line in the company was described and FMEA analysis was performed to identify potential risks and shortcomings in the existing production process and future design of the product implemented on the production line. Based on these comprehensive analyses, a new assembly process was designed and developed to minimize risks and maintain the same quality of production as before. The new manufacturing process includes the introduction of new production fixtures and technologies.
Quality control analysis of fuel tanks
Kostková, Diana ; Maradová, Karla (referee) ; Zuth, Daniel (advisor)
In my bachelor's thesis, I focused on quality control, where understanding the entire issue and the essence of individual tests required examining the production process. Each type of production has its strengths and weaknesses, so I aimed to highlight these factors throughout my work. Subsequently, I delved into individual tests, deliberately selecting them so that each test evaluated a different parameter. This was followed by recommendations for improvement in practice, focusing on dimensional control to enhance production efficiency while minimizing time consumption. The main aim of this recommendation was to reduce scrap rates by at least one-third. I assessed the suitability of equipment using a multi-criteria evaluation method, ultimately identifying the most suitable equipment based on designated criteria, including measurement speed, measurement accuracy, price, safety and many others.
Proposal to Improve Production Order Management in a Selected Company
Kolník, Jakub ; Gruševoj, Nikolaj (referee) ; Videcká, Zdeňka (advisor)
This thesis deals with the analysis of the current state of contract management in an enterprise in terms of the system information architecture and the link with the production process. In the analytical part, a problem in the contract management process is identified and research is conducted to obtain more detailed information about the nature of the problem. The thesis proposes a new system order structure that will benefit from reliable real-time data, transparency of the product life cycle in production and setting up a proper process for quantifying non-conforming products. By complementing this with the introduction of RPA, a higher efficiency of the order process flow is achieved.
Process Optimization in the Company
Straka, Jan ; Rompotl, Jaroslav (referee) ; Videcká, Zdeňka (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with the optimization of the production process in the company DITON s.r.o. It analyzes the production process in detail and reveals sources of waste. It contains a proposal to build an air conditioning system that eliminates waste and increases product quality.
Visualization of exit inspection of the production line for seats
Čambál, René ; Jirgl, Miroslav (referee) ; Sýkora, Tomáš (advisor)
This thesis focuses on the design of an output control system for the production line of automotive seats at Lear Corporation Seating Slovakia. The approach to line design is based on the principles of lean manufacturing, emphasizing efficiency, quality, and optimization of manufacturing processes. The main goal of this thesis is to create software and HMI (Human-Machine Interface) visualization for virtual testing in the pre-series phase of the project and subsequent real-world use by individuals in the manufacturing environment. This approach enables effective identification and resolution of potential issues and optimization of manufacturing processes in the early stages of development. Additionally, attention is given to the process design of the line to achieve an optimal balance between speed, precision, and flexibility. The proposed line design aims to maximize manufacturing efficiency, minimize waste, and ensure high product quality. The overall outcome of this thesis represents a comprehensive and integrated approach to the design of a conveyor line for automotive seats, serving as a model for future projects in the automotive industry.
Design of a new production line
Hejl, Martin ; Jurová, Marie (referee) ; Juřica, Pavel (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the project of implementing a production line in a selected company dealing with the recycling of plastic waste and the production of rPET flakes as a secondary raw material for the production of plastic products. First, it deals with the description of the current state and the production process in the company, including the layout of the equipment, and then defines the requirements for the project by the management of the company and individual shareholders of the company. Defining the requirements for the project and at the same time the method of obtaining key information took place on the basis of in-depth interviews with the interested parties of this project, while a pilot design of the layout of the machinery was created, including a description of the technology and a flowchart of the required production process. The main content of the design part is the creation of a proposal for a possible implementation of the production line using a network diagram using the PERT method, which indicates that the duration of the project was calculated to be 106.6 days. Together with the network diagram of the project, an analysis and proposals for managing the risks of this project were prepared. At the end of the draft chapter, a financial analysis of the project's payback period was carried out, as the condition of a payback period of 3-5 years must be met in order for the project to be approved by the shareholders, which this project fulfilled in all three expected progress scenarios.
Streamlining of the production of a component into the aircraft engine
Bula, Tomáš ; Sliwková, Petra (referee) ; Polzer, Aleš (advisor)
The thesis deals with innovation of the technological process of casting called Fan support in the company Honeywell Aerospace Olomouc s.r.o. The first part of the thesis is dedicated to component description which is made of titanium alloy Ti-6Al-4V. The section is also devoted to jet engine TFE 731, which is the engine where our particular component has specific function. Another part is focused on theoretical analysis of material characteristics of titanium alloys and their machinability. In the following section there are considered alternatives of machine suppliers with subsequent selection of the multifunctional CNC milling-turning center DMC 80 U duoBLOCK equipped with Jetstream technology. The transfer of the production to another machine is accompanied by an innovation of the technological process, making new fixtures and optimalization of the cutting tools. The section is also dedicated to static analysis of the component in operation 7 supported by finite element method (FEM). The final part of the thesis includes evaluation of the costs and savings achieved by innovation of the technological process.
