Platform for Digital Predistortion Based on RFSoC
Kříčka, Tomáš ; Král, Jan
Signal predistortion occurs in modern communication systems and in other systems requiring linear signal amplification. The objective is to learn about signal predistortion, the QORVO 1800 MHz FDD radio front-end and to implement the front-end control using RFSoC and Matlab computer program. I focus on controlling individual attenuators and amplifiers on the QORVO front-end with a program written in C. Using a single board computer Raspberry Pi 4B running Linux. Furthermore, the work involves the application of a SCPI server that operates based on TCP packets. As part of the introduction to the front-end, the power characteristic of the power amplifier is measured.
Class AB audio power amplifier for home use
Vaško, Dominik ; Theumer, Radek (referee) ; Brančík, Lubomír (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis deals with the design of a classic class AB audio power amplifier with a minimum power of 2x25W intended for home use and the design of a suitable power supply unit. The final stage of the amplifier is realized by an integrated circuit LM3886, which is supplemented by the design of a correction preamplifier and an excitation indicator. The correction preamplifier is implemented using the LM1036 integrated circuit, the excitation indicator, in turn, by the LM3915 integrated circuit. The results of the work are designs for the schematic connections of the final stage, correction preamplifier and excitation indicator, as well as designs and implemented printed circuit boards and the resulting device with measured characteristics.

Design of class AB stereo audio power amplifier
Podr, Michal ; Šotner, Roman (referee) ; Brančík, Lubomír (advisor)
This thesis describes the design of a complete amplifier operating in class AB. It contain two power amplifiers with working in the bridge mode correction amplifier with volume control, bass, treble, and also with the choice of loudness. Preamplifier with three different inputs and the choice between stereo and mono modes.
Power Amplifier for L Band
Galajda, Jan ; Zatloukal, Petr (referee) ; Urbanec, Tomáš (advisor)
This work is focused on design of L band power amplifier. First, the design of the amplifier is substantiated by necessary theoretical basics of RF power amplifiers. Then, after comparsion of availible RF power amplifiers concepts, the doherty power amplifier is chosen as a suitable type. Design of the amplifier is focused on the linearity and efficiency. AWR design program is used for simulation of the amplifier. Amplifier is then realized and parameters are measured. Measured results are then discussed and evaluated. This work proposes design of the linear doherty amplifier for modern communications systems.
Design of class-D audio power amplifier
Fiala, Roman ; Götthans, Tomáš (referee) ; Brančík, Lubomír (advisor)
This semestral thesis describes class D low frequency power amplifiers and design of specific 2x100W class D power amplifier. The designed amplifier contains a second order sigma-delta modulator in which the quantization is controlled only by the delay of modulator components. This design does not include the clock generator which usually controls the quantization in sigma-delta modulators. This semestral thesis also includes design of a switched-mode power supply for the power amplifier and for the preamplifier. The PSpice program has been used for the design and verification of some sections of circuits. All designs have been built. Also basic parameters of completed circuits were measured.
Audio power amplifier 2 x 500 W
Petrgál, Filip ; Brančík, Lubomír (referee) ; Hruboš, Zdeněk (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis deals with low frequency power amplifier, distribution, and involvement of important parameters. Furthermore, the second deals with the preamplifiers, power supplies, amplifier circuits protections and other additional modules. Elaboration includes simulated proposals to address preamp, power amplifier output stage as well as protection circuitin PSpice program. Proposes that these modules is shown in the detailed diagramdescribing the components.
Shortwave power amplifier
Fiala, Roman ; Vařacha, František (referee) ; Prokeš, Aleš (advisor)
This master’s thesis describes RF power amplifier design. The designed amplifier has been built. The first three chapters outline basics about radio frequency amplifiers. The basic theory needed for amplifier implementation is also described there. In the fourth chapter the power amplifier is designed. The design is based on the theoretical knowledge. Complete amplifier contains RF preamplifier, power amplifier and filters. The OrCAD PSpice, Ansoft Designer SV and EAGLE programs have been used for the design and verification of some sections of circuits. Measurement results of the built amplifier are in the fifth chapter. This thesis contains also the draft for laboratory exercise.
Design and construction of audio power amplifier
Růžička, Jaroslav ; Kratochvíl, Tomáš (referee) ; Brančík, Lubomír (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis is concerned with amplifier classes, integration end-level, protective circuits and concrete concept of class AB power amplifier, including concept of preamplifier and power amplifier. Features of designed circuits were simulated in PSpice software. These individual concepts of modules are connected with DPS. This thesis contains results of measurement and photos of amplifier.
BJT and MOSFET transistor-based switches - educational laboratory equipment
Bartoň, Ondřej ; Langhammer, Lukáš (referee) ; Šotner, Roman (advisor)
This thesis deals with the design of new experimental laboratory equipment with bipolar and unipolar transistor switches. This work analyzes the components needed for circuit design, such as integrators, comparators, bipolar, and unipolar transistors. Designed system is going to include a functional rectangular signal generator that controls unipolar and bipolar transistor switches. These switches will be designed for current switching up to 1 A. The aim of the thesis is to verify the functionality of designed circuits using the simulation software PSpice.
