Manufacturing of the support arm

The thesis introduces a design for the technology of manufacturing the supporting arm used for positioning and rigidity of the front plate in relation to the metal socket in the container box. The arm is made of a 2 mm thick steel sheet and of a quality according to ČSN 411331 in a production series of 14,700 units / year of the left modification and 14,700 pieces / year of the right modification. After the assessment of individual production options, the cutting technology in a progressing tool and bending technology in a simple tool were selected. Based on a literary study on cutting and bending, an optimal process of arm manufacturing was proposed. After the design, technological and control calculations for individual technologies, the tools were designed, and the technical documentation for those tools was developed. For the cutting technology, an Andritz Kaiser press with a PV120F / 1 labelling was selected. For the second production step, bending technology, a press from Šmeral Brno a.s. with a LEN 63 labelling was selected. Both of these presses meet the requirements of both the forming force and the tool dimensions. After the economy of production was assessed, production costs of one piece were determined with a 30 % profit assumed to 28.47 CZK. The turning point when production became profitable was found after the production of 18,121 units.
Innovative production of the brake segment

The project elaborates the design of the new technology production of the developed shape of the component, which is part of the drum break. The material of the component is structural steel S355J2C. The annual series produced is 100,000 pieces. From the possible production variants, the production by progressive cutting was chosen as the most suitable. Based on a literature study of the issue, an optimal method of production was proposed. The coil blank is fed to the designed tool by an unwinding and straightening device. The tool is clamped in the selected press LDO 800 A/S with the nominal forming force 8 MN. According to the economic calculations, the selling price of one manufactured part was set at 195 Kč. Production becomes profitable after making 55 283 parts.
Production of holder

The project elaborated the design of technology production of the holder used for fixing pneumatical cylinder at the testing rack. The holder is manufactured from 2 mm thick sheet metal made of structural steel 1.0038 in a production series of 6,000 units/year. After considering the individual production options, shearing in transfer die and simple bending die were selected. Based on the literature study of shearing and bending technology, an optimal production process of the holder was proposed. After technological, structural and verification calculations, the tools were designed, and the technical documentation was prepared. For the production of the holder was selected eccentric press LEXN 100 C made by Šmeral Brno a.s. This press meets the requirements of the forming force, forming work and the dimensions of the tool. According to the calculated economy of production, the production costs of one holder were determined with a 30 % profit to 97 Kč. The turning point when production becomes profitable was calculated to 4 454 units.
Typical features of progressive shearing

The bachelor thesis first covers the basic theory of shearing technology, its process and the quality of the shearing surface. Then it focuses on the technology of progressive shearing. Its advantages and disadvantages are thoroughly described, and furthermore it is compared with other shearing methods in cutting dies. This is followed by a description of the individual components of the die and an explanation of their function and use. The material requirements of the tools are discussed and their heat treatment is presented. The last part is focused on the evaluation and contribution of this technology.
