Russo-Belarus Unification. Chosen Problems and perspectives of Union State (1999-2008). The main subject of the diploma thesis is cooperation between Russia and Belarus within the Union State of Russia and Belarus, which was established in 1999. After the break up of the USSR, cooperation between the newly independent states was largely defined by their membership in CIS. However, during the first five years an integration core emerged, consisting of Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan. These states were mainly cooperating in economic sphere, which finally emerged into international organization (Eurasian Economic Community). Belarus is one of the former Soviet republics, which kept and is still keeping very close relations with Russian Federation. Their bilateral integration begins after the breakup of USSR and culminates in 1999, when treaty of establishing Union State of Russia and Belarus is signed. During the almost 10 year period between 1999 and 2008, however, the cooperation did not move forward as was originally planned. In my opinion, the main topics which delay effective Russo-Belarus integration are as follows: prices for energetic commodities (oil and gas) for Belarus; implementation of common currency - Russian ruble; and ratification of Constitutional Act of Union State....
Position of Russian Federation in post-soviet area based on typology of english school

The submitted diploma thesis focuses on the role of Russian federation within the post- communist area. The issue will be surveyed on the basis of Adam Watson's typology. Adam Watson is one of the representatives of the English school. The thesis describes the development of the Russian foreign policy, with regard to post-soviet area, from the disintegration of the Soviet Union to the present. The attention is paid to the idea of the eurasianism, or new eurasianism, which has become the most popular in the Russian foreign policy. The other part of the thesis presents the detailed analysis of the development of the Russian federation's relations with the other states and its degree of influence on the states within the post-soviet area. It examines both the degree of influence of the Russian federation's states and the degree of influence which Russia has within the integration groups, which came into being after the Soviet Union disintegration.

Bakalářská práce Vzestup a pád krymského separatismu: vyhlášení samostatnosti a květnová ústava 1992, zpracovaná na základě analýzy dostupných zdrojů, se zabývá problematikou krymského separatismu na Ukrajině v 90. letech 20. století, primárně mezi léty Jejím hlavním tématem je vývoj vztahů mezi Ukrajinou a Krymem v krymské květnové ústavy, která se stala ztělesněním aspirací krymského separ byla doplněna prohlášením o samostatnosti, které jednostranně povyšovalo pozici Krymu na stejnou úroveň s Ukrajinou. Dokument ovlivnil vztahy mezi těmito dvěma aktéry a definoval požadavky krymského separatistického hnutí, které zůstaly aktu Krym součást Ukrajiny. Hlavním cílem práce je zodpovědět otázku, proč byla ústava pro ukrajinskou vládu nepřijatelná a jaký dopad měla na krymsko postupně věnuje vývoji krymsko ukrajinských vztahů a g jejichž základě se snaží nalézt převládající tendence. Následně práce zkoumá samotnou květnovou ústavu a vyhlášení samostatnosti v rámci dalšího vývoje. V závěru práce jsou shrnuty dopady květnové ústavy na vztahy mezi zmíněnými dvěma aktéry a důvody Ukrajiny pro její odmítnutí.

Security Integration Processes in the Post-Soviet Space

The thesis deals with the topic of security integration processes in the post-Soviet space, and focuses on the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO). The aim of the thesis is to specify the character of the CSTO from the perspective of collective security theories. The first part of the thesis studies different approaches to the concept of collective security. The result of the first part is the specification of criterions, which allow to identify collective security organization. The second part describes the characteristics of post-Soviet space and integration processes in the post-Soviet space. The third part analyses the Collective Security Treaty Organization. The conclusion provides arguments, why CSTO is not a collective security organization and why it should rather be considered as a collective defense organization.
Changes of the geopolitical perspective of the Russian Federation in the post-soviet area and the influence of the alternitive actors

The thesis describes the development of the Russian foreign policy, with regard to the post-soviet area, from the disintegration of the Soviet Union to the present. The attention is paid to the idea of the eurasianism and atlantism , which became the most popular in the Russian foreign policy. The other part of the thesis presents the detailed analysis of the development of the Russian federation's relations with the other states and its degree of influence of alternative actors. The greatest attention is paid to the situation in the Caucasus and Central Asia, because in these areas is the most noticeable influence of alternative actors.
