BARTOŠ, J. Stock management in the chosen company. Bachelor thesis. Brno: Mendel University, 2018. The bachelor thesis aim is reflecting and optimization of stock management in the chosen company. It is divided into two main parts. The first part focused on liter-ary theory which contains classification and function of stocks, diversification of costs and modern methods of stock management. The second part is focused on the stock management analysis in the company. The stocks of each category (agri-cultural chemistry, fertilizer and seed) are subjected to the ABC analysis and di-vided into three groups. The optimal amount of economic order quantity, safety stock level, delivery cycle length and total costs were calculated at the end of this bachelor thesis.

Bachelor´s thesis aims to support the development of software applications from the point of view of mathematical and statistical methods. I decided to develop the theme of the supply management of the selected establishment, in which I did the school practice. I constructively created a global analysis of the object and by using the methods of supply management the appropriate steps to create the design of software applications for easier management.

The diploma thesis focuses on problems related to the low turnover of stocks in IMI International, s.r.o. The thesis is divided into three parts – theoretical, analytical and design part. In the first part there is presented a basic theoretical knowledge of logistics for this work. The second part analyses the causes of high stock holdings in relation to low turnover. Based on the analyses there are finally proposed the solutions in order to reduce the value of held stocks by reducing the quantity which then leads to increased turnover.

The final part gives a description of the creation of the program that is used to calculate individual indicators and forecasts. The aim is to increase the efficiency of the supply process, thereby reducing operating costs of the company.
