BARTOŠ, J. Stock management in the chosen company. Bachelor thesis. Brno: Mendel University, 2018. The bachelor thesis aim is reflecting and optimization of stock management in the chosen company. It is divided into two main parts. The first part focused on liter-ary theory which contains classification and function of stocks, diversification of costs and modern methods of stock management. The second part is focused on the stock management analysis in the company. The stocks of each category (agri-cultural chemistry, fertilizer and seed) are subjected to the ABC analysis and di-vided into three groups. The optimal amount of economic order quantity, safety stock level, delivery cycle length and total costs were calculated at the end of this bachelor thesis.

The bachelor thesis deals with logistic process in the chosen company. Logistics is an important element nowadays.Logistic elements have a significant impact on businesses. In the case of efficient application of logistics processes, these elements can greatly influence the company's flexibility and performance and become a competitive advantage. The main part of this thesis deals with inventory management.It includes an ABC method, a critical supply of important items, outsourcing, and a number of suppliers. The aim of the thesis is to characterize two selected warehouses and to analyze key items in them and to take care of them.

The diploma thesis focuses on problems related to the low turnover of stocks in IMI International, s.r.o. The thesis is divided into three parts – theoretical, analytical and design part. In the first part there is presented a basic theoretical knowledge of logistics for this work. The second part analyses the causes of high stock holdings in relation to low turnover. Based on the analyses there are finally proposed the solutions in order to reduce the value of held stocks by reducing the quantity which then leads to increased turnover.

Based on detailed analysis will be evaluated the actual situation of selected items and compared with suitable model of supply management. The results will be provided to the company together with evaluation and proposals to remove discovered deficiencies.

This thesis deals with the optimization of the supply process of a small business, especially with determining the optimal inventory level and demand forecasting, using tools of time series analysis. The final part gives a description of the creation of the program that is used to calculate individual indicators and forecasts. The aim is to increase the efficiency of the supply process, thereby reducing operating costs of the company.
