Design of a photovoltaic power plant for a family house near Jihlava

This diploma thesis deals with the design of a photovoltaic solar power station for a specific family house in the Jihlava region. The aim of the work was to get acquainted with technologies about the production of solar systems, evaluate the market in the Czech Republic and create a design of photovoltaic solar power station. Three designs of power stations were created with the help of the PV * SOL design system. Each design uses different photovoltaic cell technology. The result of each power station design is a complete finished project, which is based on many factors such as the efficiency of the entire system in a certain location, financial analysis, return on investment and more. In addition, these projects meet the conditions for the preparation of the subsidy program Nová zelená úsporám. At the end of the work, all three designed power stations are evaluated and with the help of multicriteria analysis, the best and most advantageous power station design for the given locality is determined. In the end, the idea of further development of the project is presented.
City hall with a multifunctional space

The aim of this master thesis is to design a city hall with a multi-purpose hall in Dolany u Olomouc. The building consists of two parts offices and multi-purpose hall. It is a three-storey building with a basement. It has a flat green roof with skylights and photovoltaics. The basement includes storerooms, garage and technical facilities. It is accessible via wooden stairs and the first floor includes offices, storerooms, sanitary facilities and multi-purpose hall. The second floor includes offices, sanitary facilities, mayor´s office with terrace, small cafeteria and a meeting room with a terrace. Load-bearing envelope walls and internal columns in the basement will be made of reinforced concrete. Other load-bearing walls will be made of sand-lime blocks. The floor slabs will be made of cast-in-place reinforced concrete. The building envelope will be insulated with ETICS. Heating will be provided by gas boilers. The building will be airconditioned by an AC unit in the basement. The project was carried out in the AutoCAD, SketchUp and Lumion software.
Fire station with gym

The aim of the work is to design Fire station with a gym in Olomouc. Diploma thesis has three parts. First from institute of building structures, second from intitute of building services and last part is devoted to modeling and assessment of details of building. Fire station is divided into three parts. Garage for 3 fire trucks, main part and gym with training tower. The main part contains toilets, showers, locker rooms, storage places, offices and facilities for firefighters and office rooms. Structural elements of the building are from reinforced concrete. Infill walls are made from ceramic bloks. Thermal insulation is from mineral wool and cladding of the wall is made of fibre-cement boards. The slab in the main part is made of cast-in-place concrete. Others slabs in the garage and gym are made of prefabricated elements. On the building are desined three types of roofs. Extensive green roof, flat roof with a stabilization layer of river aggregates and roof made of insulating sandwich panels. In the thesis is design conception of artificial lighting, ventilating, heating, cooling, water managment, photovoltaics and management scheme of energy and ecological systems. The work contains project documentation for building permits, which were made in accordance with applicable legal and technical regulations.
Energy self-sufficient mountain guesthouse

The aim of this master project is to design an off-grid nearly-zero energy mountain guesthouse. First, the building structure is designed. It is a two-storeys building with roof made of lattice trusses. On first floor is dining room, kitchen, playroom and office. On second floor are guest rooms and an owner´s flat. The vertical load-bearing structures are designed from ceramic blocks. Horizontal load-bearing structures are designed from reinforced concrete monolithic slab. The building envelope is insulated with ETICS. Second, HVAC, lighting, photovoltaics and use of rainwater is designed. TZB system controlled remotely with a PC or cellphone are designed. Third, energy study is made. The project is developed using CAD (drawings), DEKsoft (thermal calculations) and Atrea Duplex (air conditioning design).
Energy-efficient "Floret" kindergarten building

The task of the master project is to design a single-storey kindergarten with flat extetensive green roof in Chvalčov. The building contains entrance hall, utility room, locker rooms, toilets, kitchen, school canteen, staff rooms, storage room and play rooms. The Building is divided into two similar parts. The vertical loadbearing structure is designing from ceramic blocks. The horizontal loadbearing structure is designed from reinforced concrete. The building is heated by a ground source heat pump supplying heat to floor heating. Another source of heat for the preparation of hot water and heat exchanger in the air handling unit is a gas condensing boiler. The heat pump in reverse operation cool the building via Fan-coil units. For air distribution is designed galvanized ducts and air handling units. The building uses photovoltaics to produce electricity for safe environment when using a renewable energy source and safe money when they no need buy energy from elektricity distribudion networks. The designs were elaborated in Revit, autocad and thermal assessment in Deksoft and similation 2018
Energy efficient office building with gym and wellness Kostka

The master thesis describes a complete design of an office building, including its technical equipment. The building's technical equipment contains HVAC, lighting, DHW and photovoltaics design, water demand. The building has two floors. It contains offices, a bistro with a lounge, a wellness area and two gyms, a children's playground and facilities. This master thesis is divided into three parts. Firstly, the thesis presents building documentation with an engineering and an accompanying report. Secondly, the thesis introduces the design of the building's technical equipment and engineering reports. Lastly, the results of a conducted experiment are presented. In this experiment, a system for the optimization of blind tilt angle is proposed.
Energy efficient municipal house

The main task of the master project is to design a new energy efficient municipal house in Drnholec. The building has two above-ground floors and partial basement. It has a two-part flat roof. One part is green, the other has the bituminous roofing. The basement contains storage spaces and a boiler room. The ground floor contains an entrance hall, toilets, restaurant, a kitchen with storage and a hall with elevated stage. The first floor contains two club rooms, toilets and a room for the air conditioning system. The vertical load-bearing structures are designed from ceramic walls. Internal walls are designed from ceramic blocks. The horizontal load-bearing structures are designed from the pre-stressed Spiroll panels. The building envelope is insulated with mineral wool. The second part of the master project focuses on designing HVAC, lighting and sewage (including stormwater storage basin). The building utilizes an automatic biomass boiler as the main heating energy source. The summer domestic water heating is supported by photovoltaics. The third part of the master project assesses and compares heating of water by photovoltaics and solar thermal collectors. The project was carried out in the AutoCAD, DEKSOFT, Excel and Word.
Energy retrofit of a stand-alone house

The aim of the master’s thesis was to design heating, ventilation and cooling systems and to evaluate possibility of using renewable sources in case of a reconstructed two-storey family house. Air to water heat pump and floor system were designed to ensure both heating and cooling supply in the building. A heat recovery ventilation system was proposed. Gains of electrical energy from photovoltaic array were calculated and then possibility of coverage the heat pump consumption was evaluated. The thesis contains required calculations including building heat losses, heat gains, air exchange rates and the dimensioning of all mentioned systems. Technical drawing is also comprised.
Cathedral today

The main topic of the Diploma thesis is a complex design to rescue cathedral Notre-Dame in Paris. The work is firstly focused on the reconstruction of the structure including its collapsed parts and preserving a link to the destructive fire in 2019. The mainstay of the thesis is a design of new roof space and its use by broad public. Due to uncertainties about the structure stability disrupted by the fire a great emphasis has been put on the weight reduction of the newly built roof structure. The design makes a genuine attempt to be sensitive with respect to the spiritual function of the cathedral, thus the public roof access is separated from the cathedral itself thanks to a newly built underground spaces that are also included in the design.
Energy Performance Certificate of the Building

This bachelor thesis deals with the evaluation of the energy performance of the Mars hotel in Špindlerův Mlýn. The theoretical part of this thesis is focused on the conversion of sunlight into electric power using solar-powered photovoltaics. The practical part is focused on the analysis of energy consumption and energy flux of the inspected building. The final part C concerns about the result of this thesis – the energy performance certificate of the analyzed building.
