The auspices of the last Rosenberg family (explained by an example of the town of Prachatice)

My bachelor thesis is focused on Prachatice when this town was under the auspices of Rosenberg family. The main aim of this thesis is to describe the auspices of the last Rosenberg family in the years 1551 - 1601, which has not been studied in detail in the historiography so far. I try to exceed this period of time and focus on the auspices in the period in which the town of Prachatice was possessed by the Czech chamber. Another aim of the thesis is the description of ecclesiastic administration in the important towns located in the Rosenberg dominion. Primary sources I have used for my work are stored in the State regional archive in Prachatice (Archive of the Prachatice town) and in the State regional archive in Třeboň, workplace Český Krumlov (Manor Farm Estate Prachatice-Volary). An issue of the Income declaration of the year 1558 is attached in the appendix.
Beroun and Hořovice regions in the power conception of House of Luxembourg

The presented diploma thesis deals with the areas of Beroun and Hořovice in the middle ages. At the core of the work of the Government of The house of Luxembourg - John, Charles IV. and Wenceslas IV. Using sources, examines how developed its management, property tenure. It also looks at the extent to which they have been in the Royal estates, the Church or the aristocratic possession. Also describes the emergence and development of individual towns and villages in Beroun and Hořovice district. It focuses on local nobles and their relationship to the Royal Court. Work also takes into account the Nuremberg path that passed through this area, and its influence on the possession of estates. André Lefevere and his Manipulation School

This theoretical and historiographical thesis examines the theoretical work of the Translation Studies scholar André Lefevere. It focuses primarily on the analysis of Lefevere's work in the context of the development of Translation Studies (particularly in connection with the development of Descriptive Translation Studies, the formation of the "Manipulation School" and the cultural and sociological turns in Translation Studies). The paper covers Lefevere's theoretical underpinnings, the gradual development of his theoretical model and his contribution to the development of the discipline, with special regard to the integration of sociocultural aspects into translation research. Also included is an overview of the most significant critical responses to Lefevere's work and of the applications of his model in practical research.
Clerical life at Žebrák in the high Middle Ages

The main subject of the Bachelor's degree work is monitoring the Church administration in the region in 14th century and at the beginning of the 15th century. The region Žebrácko laid in the deanery of Brdy, whose structure the author describes in the first part of the work. On the basis of the analysis of the sources, the author seeks to create an inventory of parish priests in the parish churches of St. William in Praskolesy, St. Giles in Hořovice and St. Lawrence in Žebrák. The work describes the mobility, education and other activities of individual parish priests. The author also explains the issue of the chapel of St. Procopius, in Praskolesy, in which were found the frescoes in 2005 from 14th century. The work also deals with the question of the patrons rights of individual churches. In this context, the author describes the rotation of the owners in selected areas, as it often held the patrons rights. The last part of the work deals with the Visitation protocol of the Prague achdeacon Paul of Janovice from the years 1379 -1382. The work describes his journey by the deanery of Brdy and focuses on the canonical visitation of monitored sites. The patronage of the Schwarzenberg family in the 18th century on the example of the parish of Němčice

This diploma thesis deals with patronage of the Schwarzenberg family in the 18th century over the parish of Němčice, which fell into the Netolice Manor, and tries to describe the patronage administration of the Schwarzenbergs in general. For basic explanation of its topic the thesis is prefaced by chapters about the patronage in general and the history of Němčice and of the local parish. Basic spheres of the patronage of the Schwarzenberg family over parishes in their manors (on the example of the parish of Němčice) are presented after that. This thesis studies the rights of patronage primarily with respect to the administration. It also deals with the symbolic manifest of the patron's authority and focuses on the analysis and interpretation of the most important types of documents of the patronage administration and communication of the patronage offices. Next chapters deal with founding of the parish of Němčice as an example of parish foundation and with its incomes. They also analyze granting of presentations, installations of the parish priests, involvement of the patronage officers in canonical visitations and with the pendency of the estates of the deceased parish priests. The addendum supplements the text of this thesis by an edition of the founding charter of the parish of Němčice, by a table of local parish priests and by reproductions of some sources.
The Development of Foundation Agenda for Churches and Parishes in Territory of City České Budějovice and Its Surroundings in 14. and 15. Century

The main aim of this diploma thesis is to explain the method of financing charity and secure funding church institutions situated on the territory of city of České Budějovice in the Middle Ages. The work is divided into six chapters. The first part consists of describing the development of Church administration in Bohemia from beginning of Christianity to the Middle Ages. The second chapter presents the person of parish priest and describes the function of the parish. On this passage follows a treatise of the right of patronage. The theoretical part of this thesis is concluded with a chapter which explains the general financial insurance and patronage support of parishes. The practical part is devoted to the development of foundation agenda in České Budějovice and also brings the structure of rural parishes and parish networks in the vicinity of this city. The work includes the list of used sources, literature and attachments. The annexes include tables containing summary data from municipal book of donation records, the main source of this thesis. It also contains tables relating the occupation the parish benefices by parish priest as well as the photographs of mentioned churches.
The history of the Olešnice parish in the late 18th and during the 19th century

This dissertation introduces a history of the Olešnice parish based on research stemming from an accessible of sources. It focuses first of all on the parish?s creation and then on the state of the parish and how it was affected by Josef?s reforms. The dissertation questions how greatly these reforms influenced its inception and function. Its focus is on an internal organization and parish run, with its act within a state administration. The opening chapter summarizes the literature and other sources used for researching this subject and are followed with chapters about the church administration at the time of late modern period, and also the establishment of the České Budějovice bishopric and the spiritual committee Czech land Gubernia. The studies begin with the history of Olešnice. It first details the important institutions in a village (school, pastorate, authority) and the holding of properties. The next chapter is then focused on the origination and history of the Olešnice parish, with the main focus being on visitations and the churchmen. The end chapters are concerned with the sacred objects within the parish (the church, the chapel and the devotional pillar), patronage in local parish and school matters. The final chapter represent written production of parish and focus on situation of parish registry. Total summary is stated at the end.
