Statistical analysis of the incoming tourism development in the Czech Republic and its prospects

This thesis deals with the development of incoming tourism in the Czech Republic. Monitoring of the development of incoming tourism is focused on the period 2005-2015. Obtained data from the Czech Statistical Office and the Ministry for Regional Development were further statistically processed using time series. A part of this work is the analysis of tourism, concretely comparing the number of collective accommodation establishments, participation of non-residents in these facilities both in the Czech Republic and individual regions, focus on the choice of accommodation units by category and the level of the building, participation of seasonal tourists and the influence of tourism on the economy of the state. The work especially focuses on the ratio of tourism in the country's GDP and its annual changes. In the given indicators the attention is also subsequently focused on possible recommendations to improve specific issues that might lead in the future to the fact, that the data will not differ so much in individual seasons.
Newly inscribed UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Europe in connection with tourism

This bachelor´s thesis is focused on German and Russian UNESCO World Heritage Sites which have been inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List since 2004 and it concentrates primarily on their connection with tourism. The connection with tourism is evaluated via various attendance statistics, a transportation accessibility, an entrance fee, a type of promotion, a quality and a quantity of accompanying programs and services provided by the UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Afterwards there is a comparison between a touristic attractiveness of the German UNESCO World Heritage Sites and a touristic attractiveness of the Russian UNESCO World Heritage Sites in the thesis. A processing and an evaluation of discovered data, statistics and of a method of the comparison between Germany and Russia enable to determine at the end of the thesis which of the inscribed World Heritage Sites in Germany and in Russia since 2004 show the biggest connection with tourism and whether Germany or Russia meets more potentials for tourism development from the point of view of the newly inscribed UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
The analysis of tourism in the selected city (Kutná Hora)

The bachelor thesis deals with the analysis of tourism in the selected city - Kutná Hora. The aim of the thesis is evaluation of current situation of tourism in the city Kutná Hora, to analyse its potential for tourism developement, the level of infrastructure and the level of the institutions, which support the tourism industry in the city. Next the visit rate of sights in Kutná Hora and the visit rate of the information center was assessed. The first section deals with theoretical definition of basic concepts of tourism, which are presented in this thesis. A brief description of the city Kutná Hora is provided in the second section. The third section introduces the attractions, which are in Kutná Hora, and the tourism infrastructure in the city. Further the competitiveness of Kutná Hora is assessed with other UNESCO monuments in the Czech Republic. The acquired knowledges are summarized in form of a SWOT analysis. In conclusion the possible proposals for increase in attractiveness of the city for potential tourists are presented.
The analysis of tourism in the selected city (Třebíč)

The bachelor thesis deals with the issues of tourism development in the selected city -- Třebíč. The goal of this thesis is to assess the current level of tourism in the city, to analyze its potential for tourism development, the tourism infrastructure, the visit rate and to draw conclusions and propose measures. The first section deals with theoretical definition of basic concepts of tourism related to its operation in the city. The second section provides a brief description of resolved destination. The analysis of tourism in Třebíč is carried out within the third section of this thesis and it analyzes the potential for tourism development, the tourism infrastructure and the supply of tourism products of the city. The findings are summarized in form of a SWOT analysis. The fourth section analyzes the visit rate of attractions, information centers and accommodation facilities in the city. The profile of a visitor of Třebíč was made by using the project of CzechTourism "Monitoring of visitors in tourist regions of the Czech republic". In conclusion, proposals to attract new visitors and raise awareness of Třebíč as an attractive and competitive tourist destination are presented.
