Possibility of using LabView for simulation and calculation of the energy balance of a hydrogen-oxygen fuel cell
Fryda, Daniel ; Macháček, Jan (referee) ; Šlezingr, Jan (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the calculation of the characteristics of hydrogen-oxygen fuel cell and their simulation in LabVIEW. It is divided into several parts. At the beginning thesis clarifies the issues of fuel cell and contributes to a better understanding of its activities. It explains what a fuel cell actually is, what is the principle of its work, describes its components, access to its history and its development to the present. Further on the thesis divides fuel cells into the different types and deals with deeper hydrogen-oxygen fuel cell. The fourth chapter is devoted to its use in practice and in laboratory education . Another part is focused on the LabVIEW program where is described the principle, use and basic parts of the program. In the practical part is implemented the model of the laboratory task in LabVIEW program. In chapter no. 6 are developed the operating instructions of the program and described in detail the creation of the model. The aim of this bachelor thesis is creation of an overview of fuel cells, their properties and possibilities of using for practice and laboratory education and then simulation of the laboratory task in LabVIEW program which is based on measured data and the characteristics of the hydrogen-oxygen fuel cell. This laboratory task can be used as teaching material for students in the Department of Electrical Power Engineering.
Fire Combustion Control System Based on Lambda Probe
Bartoš, Lukáš ; Tříska, Vít (referee) ; Šimek, Václav (advisor)
The bachelors thesis deals with a design of automatic regulation of biomass combustion in fireplaces by lambda probe. The probe measures residual amount of oxygen during the combustion and the measured value influences the efficiency of combustion process and harmful emissions which are emitted into the air. The first part of the thesis is focused onto a theoretical analysis of the proces of combustion and the effects which influence efficiency and emissions. The second part concerns the description and the use of necessary components for automatical combustion regulation. The third part deals with a pratical test which confirms or declines the possibility of regulation by measurement of residual amount of oxygen. The fourth part follows up with a design of a regulation algorithm and its implementation. The fifth part evaluates past tests and suggests a procedure for production.
Pulse Oxymeter in LabVIEW
Synek, Josef ; Chmelař, Milan (referee) ; Čmiel, Vratislav (advisor)
One of the most important vital functions of the human body is providing sufficient oxygen to all its parts. Oxygen in the blood binds to hemoglobin and it is transported to tissues. Oxymetry is non-invasive method for measuring the amount of oxygen bound to hemoglobin. Oxygenated hemoglobin and deoxygenated have different absorption characteristics for light of different wavelengths. Therefore, pulse oxymetry transmits tissue with red and infrared light. Signal passing through the tissue is affected by the absorption properties of hemoglobin and heart pulse. These signals are measured and the ratio of their size allows us to calculate blood oxygen saturation.
New types of membranes for electrolyzer hydrogen - oxygen
Hýbl, Jiří ; Sedlaříková, Marie (referee) ; Kunovjánek, Miroslav (advisor)
This work deals with the production of hydrogen and oxygen by electrolysis. Aims of this thesis are to measure different types of membranes and choose the best for use in elektrolyzer for hydrogen and oxygen production. Properties of membranes were tested in the laboratory electrolyzer in the short and long operation. The emerging gases from elektrolyzer were also tested on a gas chromatograph to determine the purity of produced hydrogen. At the same time are also tested different concentrations of KOH elektrolyte and the effect of concentrations on efficiency of electrolyzer.

Model of Bulk Energy Accumulation
Radil, Lukáš ; Barath, Peter (referee) ; Gregor, Jan (advisor)
The purpose of this pursuit is to introduce the reader about the questions of the accumulation of the electric energy and to outline possibilities of its design and what instruments is possible to get it. The other purpose is to inscribe possibilities of today´s attachment of dispersive sources to the net from the sight of the ERU, eventually from the sight of the UCTE. This persuit describes the posibility of the accumulation of adequate dimensions from renewable resources, the modern trends in this area and the prediction of future progress. The two most proper types of the energy accumulation are chosen by the following process with regarding to the optimal resolution of the given questions. The general balance will be ana-lysed by the comparison of their basic parameters. The other point of this pursuit is to try to realize a small model of the accumulation through the hydrogen´s cycle, it comes to that we can develop the efficiency and influence by the help of the electrolyzer and the metalhydride reservoir is realized energy of accumulation . In the conclusion of this pursuit is the appreciation of the whole project with the view of partly economical and especially with the view of the prospective usage into the electric grid
Barrier properties of varnishes for protection of photographs
Lokotschová, Radka ; Čeppan, Michal (referee) ; Veselý, Michal (advisor)
In this diploma thesis the basic principles of inkjet print, ink composition, print media and degradation mechanisms of ink dyes are summarized. The thesis deals with study of varnish barrier properties in coloured inkjet prints. Permeability of water vapour and oxygen (parts of atmosphere) depending on different coatings are tested there. In addition the influence of ozone on degradation of dyes was studied, while ozone was permeating through barrier varnish layer of inkjet print. Ozone plays an important role in degradation processes of the inkjet prints and it also causes a gas-fading. Concentrations of acting ozone were established by iodometric titration. Simultaneously kinetics of degradation of Orange 7 was studied on indicator papers.
Study of plasma species by mass spectroscopy
Bureš, Michal ; Čáslavský, Josef (referee) ; Čech, Vladimír (advisor)
Plasma polymer films of tetravinylsilane and mixture of tetravinylsilane and oxygen gas were deposited on silicon wafers. Oxygen gas was mixed in tetravinylsilane to improve the compatibility of thin films on glass substrates. Mass spectroscopy was employed during the cleaning of the deposition chamber to check residual gases and process gases, during plasma deposition to monitor neutral plasma species and to follow plasma stability.
