The use of dance in people with specific needs

Title: The use of dance in people with specific needs Objectives: The main aim of this thesis is to analyze the use of dance in people with specific needs as well as determine, based on the survey, if dance is used in social facilities in the Czech republic. I have done so by creating and using a non-standardized questionnaire survey, which examined the established scientific questions. Methods: To fulfill the aim of the bachelor's thesis, the method of qualitative-quantitative research using a questionnaire survey was used. The results were processed and shown by graphical comparison. Results: The results of the questionnaire survey showed that dance is used by different organizations with different target groups. It is mainly a form of therapeutic dance or a dance lesson. All respondents confirmed the positive effect of dance on their clients. Conclusion: Dance can have a positive effect on physical and mental health of an individual. It can also support social relationships of people with specific needs. In the social institutions of the Czech Republic, it is used in the form of therapeutic dance rather as a supplement to the regular program. Social farming - Specifics and needs of target groups of clients in social farming in the Czech republic

This thesis deals with the specifics and needs of people from target groups involved in the concept of social agriculture in the Czech Republic. Based on the collected data, a total of seven key target groups were selected who are actively involved in the concept of social farming, namely people with disabilities, people with mental disabilities, people with psychiatric problems, people with long-term or repeated unemployment, people in or after punishment, persons leaving institutional care and persons with multiple risks. The influence of the health compensation program on postural stability and other selected aspects in persons with unilateral transfemoral amputation

Title: The influence of medically focused compensating program on postural stability and other selected aspects on patients with unilateral transfemoral amputation. Objectives: Goal of this research was to find out if medically focused compensating program would have any influence on postural stability of unilateral, transfemoral amputees. As next objective, it was studied if any intervention would have any significant influence on changes in shape or physiology of the foot or if there would be any anomalies in tests of the functions of the leg muscles. Methods: Research group consisted of four participants (3 men and 1 woman by the mean age of 44,5 years). Participants undergone intervention in the form of medically focused compensation program, which went on for 8 weeks. Before the start of the program as well as after the end of the program the objective measuring tests were conducted. These tests consisted of measuring the postural stability of the participants and shape of the foot with FootScan device (RSscan International). Furthermore, the functioning of the muscles was determined by tests that focus on function and physiology of the leg muscles. Integration of children with special needs into the swimming lessons in the district of Louny

Title: Integration of children with special needs into the swimming lessons in the district of Louny Objectives: The thesis analyses the current state of integration of children with special needs into the swimming lessons in swimming schools in the district of Louny. Methods: In the theoretical part of thesis was used research of literature in the field of people with special needs, integration and swimming lessons. The research was conducted by interviewing, the form of survey. Analysis method was used for sorting the information which were obtained, synthesis method was used in their summary. Results: Integration of children with special needs into the swimming lessons in the district of Louny is possible. Children with mental and physical disabilities are included into swimming lessons. These children have the opportunity to use hours of swimming lessons created specifically for them. This, however, offers only one of the three swimming schools. Personal assistent's knowledge of first aid

Title: Personal assistent'sknowledge of first aid. Objectives: The aim of this master thesis was to determine the personal assistant's knowledge of first aid in selected situations. Methods: An anonymous survey was used to determine the personal assistant'sknowledge of first aid. The questions were created on the basis of Barbora Studená'sbachelor thesis and on the basis of information obtained from centres or organization providing personal assistance. The webside Survio.com was used for data collection. Personal assistants who work or have worked in the social services sector were in the target group. A total of 54 respondents participated in the research. The data were processed into graphs and evaluated. Results: Out of the total number 54 (100 %, 46 (85 %) of respondents got above 13-point limit in the survey focused on their knowledge of first aid. Personal assistant's knowledge was evaluated as positive. From the results, we can also assume that the length of action and practical experience in personal assistance has an impact on the subjective assessment of self- confidence in providing first aid. Attitudes of people with special needs towards services of sexual assistance in the Czech Republic

Title: Attitudes of people with special needs towards services of sexual assistance in the Czech Republic Objectives: This bachelor thesis aims to explore and quantify whether people with special needs tend to think about services of sexual assistance mostly in a positive way or not. Methods: As a method, quantitative research was used, which was realized by non- standardized survey. Survey consists of 19 questions. Answers of all respondents were exported to Microsoft Office Excel 2007 program, in which they were processed and converted into graphs and tables. Results: People with special needs think of services of sexual assistance in the Czech Republic mostly positively. However, there is a difference of opinion between men and women. The thesis is divided into two parts. The first one is theoretical, the other one is practical. The theoretical part is focused on the development of music therapy, its types and techniques. It provides an insight into what is actually music therapy and how it can work in practice. It also connects the issues of music therapy for people with special needs.
