Cross-sector collaboration in Dolnobřežansko region in Praha - Západ district

7 Abstract The diploma thesis analyzes the relations and cooperation between civil, state and market sectors in the suburban region of Dolnobřežansko. The aim of the thesis is to describe the current state of cooperation between civil society organizations and the other two sectors in terms of its forms in a specific territorial unit. A partial goal is to understand how the subjects' motives for cooperation, or the expected benefit from it, are related to the choice of its specific form and how it is then managed for individual forms of cooperation. Forms of cross-sector collaboration and relations in the region are examined and categorized on the basis of two theoretical concepts, or typologies, according to cooperating entities. In the practical part of the thesis, a research investigation is carried out identifying the specific forms of cross-sector collaboration in the region, the motives of individual subjects on the basis of which they choose individual forms, as well as the way of managing mutual relations. The sustainability of multicultural education projects offered by NGOs, and their categorization in terms of the level of sustainability

Synopsis This work focuses on multicultural education projects that are offered by civic sector organizations, and assesses thein sustainability. The theoretical part summarizes the theoretical knowledge concerning the development and the definitiv of multicultural education in the Czech Republic. It also attempts to clarify what the project of multicultural education entails, and tries to analyze the theoretical koncept of project sustainability. The practical part of the work includes empirici research on the sustainability of multicultural education project in the Czech Republic. It describes the ganges that occur during the sustainability phase of the project.
Social Capital of Civil Society Organizations: Interorganizational Relations Across All Sectors

SYNOPSIS The diploma thesis deals with social capital of Civil Society Organizations, which is introduced here as a strategy for achieving the objectives and mission of Civil Society Organizations through networking and building relations with key players in their surroundings. Through the example of Civil Society Organizations providing services in Tábor the diploma thesis provides insight into the problematic of creation and maintenance of interorganizational relations with stakeholders across all sectors and therefore building external social capital of organizations. The theories of social capital and interorganizational relations with regard to the specifications of Civil Society Organizations are presented in the theoretical part of this thesis. The research part presents findings based on qualitative research, which was conducted through semi-structured interviews with representatives of Civil Society Organizations. The findings and results are and summarized in the conclusion.
Cooperation Model between NGOs and Probation Service Liberec in the Punishment of Public Works

The objective of this diploma thesis is study of cooperation between Probation service Liberec, which represents public sector, and the NGOs as representatives of civil sector. These organisations provide means for people who are sentenced to punishment of community service. The aim of this study is identification of a model of cooperation, show the development of this model since its beginning in 2002, and finally, to introduce the external environment that influences this model. The theoretical basis crucial for this thesis is a Bryson, Crosby and Stones's concept of Governing Public-Nonprofit Collaborations. They focus on governing structure, governing processes, rules and external environment, which makes the structure of my study. The design of the research used in this diploma thesis is a case study. Data were gathered by method of semi-structured interviews of probation workers and by analysing of documents related to laws, methodical standards and other resources.
Marketing as a tool for civil society organizations to promote public interests

The diploma thesis deals with the use of marketing strategies as tools of civil sector organizations to promote public interests. The first part of the thesis serves to clarify the theory of organized civil sector, marketing strategies of civil sector organizations and the legislative process in the Czech Republic, including clarification of the concept of public interest. The second part of the thesis consists of qualitative empirical research, which aims to describe the whole form of the selected campaign created to promote public interest in the form of legislative change while understanding how campaigners evaluate the campaign and how they perceive cooperation between civil society organizations and marketing agencies for the implementation of the campaign. The chosen research method is a case study of the successful marketing campaign of the czech civic sector organization Svoboda zvířat, which contributed to the promotion of the public interest. The role of the civil sector in the local action group Podlipansko

The thesis focuses on the role of the civil sector in the local action group Podlipansko which operates in eastern part of the Central Bohemian region. Conceptual framework deals with the characteristics of civil society organizations, demarcation of countryside and its actors, further concept of social capital, partnership and local action groups. The method of the case study is applied in the practical part. Methods of data collection are triangulated. Data was collected by analysis of documents, surveys and semi-structured interviews focusing on civil society organizations. It is a case study of the 2014-2020 programming period. The aim of the thesis is to find out the role of civil society organizations in specific local action group. Using qualitative and quantitative methods of data collection it is found out how the cooperation looks like between civil society organizations and local action group from the perspective of involved organizations. The cooperation of central state and local public authorities with civil society organizations within the integration of immigrants

Effective integration of migrants should be seen as a multidimensional process that requires commitment and partnership of all stakeholders. In the Czech Republic the integration is shifting to the local level increasingly. It is a slow process followed by various difficulties, but it creates a number of challenges to cooperation of civil society organizations, boroughs and other stakeholders. The thesis focuses on the cooperation of actors in the area of integration of migrants from third countries in Prague, where the situation is influenced by a number of specific factors. Based on the studies and analysis of available materials and conducted interviews, work explains how and in what areas cooperation of actors works or does not work. Work presents which positives, barriers and potential capacity of cooperation see representatives of civil society organizations, boroughs and state institutions as well.
Impacts of the program World of Difference on the relationship of its graduates to the organizations of the civil sector

The thesis is focused on impacts of the program World of Difference on the relationship of its graduates to the organizations of the civil sector. This paper consists of three main parts. The first one describes the theoretical definitions of the concepts connected with civil sector, organizations of the civil sector, business sector, cooperation between the sectors, values and motivation of the employees in the civil sector and management of Human Resources in civil sector. The second part is focused on methodology of the research, data analysis and the activities of the Vodafone Foundation and the program World of Difference. There are presented the outcomes of the research in the last part. The research is focused on the graduates of the program World of Difference and the fact if they remain in the civil sector after finishing the program. The research is focused on the specifics which they had to meet during the program and if they changed their opinion about the civil sector. According to the research questions, I chose the qualitative research and used methods of semi-structured in-depth interviews. Commercionalization of Non Profit Organizations, Analysis of Commercial Activities of Czech Non Profit Organizations in the Field of Social Rehabilitation

Anglický This thesis deals with commercionalization and commercial activities of Czech Non-profit organizations providing social services in the field of social rehabilitation. In the first, theoretical, part the commercionalization issue is thoroughly explained, next a summary of researched legal persons and organizational theories used is presented. In the second, methodological part, research quantitative design and all necessary requisites are presented. Third, empirical, part deals with research evaluation. Research was done with usage of electronic questionnaire asking about forms of commercial activities, extent of commercionalization and factors leading to NGOs acceptance of commercial activities. It was found out that over one half of examined NGOs is commercially active, the most common form of commercial activities were selling goods and services. It was also found out that extent of commercionalization was low with a potential for future growth, the most frequent factor for commercial activities acceptance were placing NGO's client on the market and uncertainty of state, EU grants.
