Dvorský, Petr ; Prax,, Petr (referee) ; Hluštík, Petr (advisor)
This thesis deals with the monitoring of the sewerage system in the city of Brno. In the research part, there is made an overview of the most used measuring equipment for the monitoring of the sewerage system – level meters, flowmeters, automatic samplers. The practical part is devoted to the monitoring of the sewerage system in Brno for partial evaluation of the benefits of the project „Reconstruction and completion of sewerage in Brno“, realized in 2012 – 2014. Measuring campaign has taken place from June to October 2017. In the course of the work, the instalation of measuring equipment and the collection of measured data was done. After finishing measuring campaign, the data were evaluated from different aspects – the number of overflows, the quantity of overflowing water, the dilution ratio and the quantity of discharged pollution. Then, the hydraulic and construction technical assement of the pipelines of sewer network and overflow chambers and assements of the quantity of the rainwater were made. The results of the evaluation were compared with the results of the previous monitoring campaingns and with the data obtained before the project has been realized. Based on this, the benefit of the project was determined.
Reconstruction of storm water overflow for constructed wetlands
Herman, Matej ; Hyánková,, Eva (referee) ; Kriška-Dunajský, Michal (advisor)
The thesis of my bachelor work is the design of a new control system of through-flow area in the existing storm water overflow channel, which is used in current constructed wetland, located in Drážovice village and which does not fulfill flow conditions. The target of the work is to design and verify the function of the controller which ensures decreasing of the flows, or reduction of the water level height in case of overflow during raining. Prior to the design, there had been made mathematical and graphic descriptions with using of the Excel and AutoCad and the results are applied for the laboratory model. The thesis consists of the theoretical analysis of the current status and the new solution design. The main point is based on the control of the water level in overflow channel with flexible diameter from 0.3 m till 0.2m. The construction of the existing storm water overflow channel was done in laboratory conditions, as well as the new designed controlled device. After built-up of the model, there have been made measurings and following corrections to reach the ideal status. For using of this controller in constructed wetland in Dražovice, there will be also needed very precise set up of this device for its everyday usage.
Mathematical models of retention object of urban drainage
Pavlík, Ondřej ; Stanko,, Ing Štefan (referee) ; Pollert,, Jaroslav (referee) ; Prax, Petr (advisor)
This work deals with the use of 3D mathematical models of fluid in water management practice. Using 3D mathematical model was assessed retention tank Jeneweinova, which is situated on a sewer network of the city of Brno and is an important object of urban drainage. Retention basin designed to keep overflow from CSO chambers to Svratka and Svitavský náhon during storm events. Retention tank Jeneweinova is suitable for the assessment, because tank was designed bassed the Master Plan drainage of Brno using 1D mathematical model. Another factor was the physical model, which was build in LVV Vin FAST BUT. And finally, near the retention tank will be installed measurement on the sewerage network, which will be able to verify the results whitch has been predicted in this work. Mathematical model of retention tanks Jeneweinova was build in software FLOW-3D. FLOW-3D is a general purpose CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) software for flow of fluid in steady and unsteady mode and uses computational techniques to solve the equations of motion of fluids. This software is mainly used for the calculation of hydraulic fluids, gas flow and heat transfer simulations. Results from 3D mathematical model has been compared with the values in the physical and 1D mathematical model.
Efficacy overflows

The aim of this bachelor´s thesis is to process the recherche of the overflow chambers The first part of this thesis includes the legislation of the overflow chambers. The following list provides a short description of the individual types of the overflow chambers and building materials which we use the most often. The thesis deals with technical proposal and hydraulic computation. The allovable pollution of diluted water is presented by dint of emission limits and pollution limits which are caused by the overflow chambers. In the practical part of this thesis are used valuable lessons learned from the theoretical parts. The aim of this part is recognition of the selected overflow chambers in the combined sewerage system in the city of Brno. The chambers were monitoring during measuring campaign in 2017. The overflow chambers were evaluated to their efficiency and construction conditions. In the latest bulit and current moved overflow chambers was calculated the ratio of dilution.
Rainfall data in urban drainage
Mrázek, Jan ; Prax,, Petr (referee) ; Raclavský, Jaroslav (advisor)
The aim of the bachelor thesis is to process knowledge from measured precipitation data and aplicating this knowledge on methods of prepration of a hydraulic sewage network model of Znojmo city. The first part is a research in the field of interest, being sewage network and precipitation data processing. The detailed procedure of modeling and quantification of the measured data is explained in the practical part of the thesis. After that the process of inputting the data in to a hydraulic model in MIKE URBAN, the program which draws topological data from GIS (retained by VAS a.s. as the investor) and exports the final model into a SWMM enviroment. At last but not least the thesis focuses on schematization of the objects situated on the sewage network, such as relief chambers. The result is a noncalibrated and nonverified model of a part of sewage system of the Znojmo city and systematically organized measured critical rains. This model is going to be optimized after this thesis is finished, thus also calibrated and verified.
Study of sewer network of selected municipality
Remešová, Terezie ; Lžičař, Jakub (referee) ; Raclavský, Jaroslav (advisor)
The main goal of this diploma thesis is the proposal of sewerage variants of local parts of village Pačlavice, which are villages Pornice and Lhota. For individual municipalities are proposed three partially different variants, which vary mainly in the way of wastewater draining and wastewater treatment. All three variants are evaluate from an economic and technical point of view and on the basis of evaluation is propose a variant, which is in my opinion, the most suitable for these municipalities. In the villages Pornice, Lhota and Pačlavice are proposed new delivery and gravity sections, associated objects of overflow chambers with pumping stations, independent overflow chambers or separate pumping stations that complement the existing combined sewer system to ensure the drainage of wastewater to wastewater treatment plant and following treatment of this water.

Vliv srážkových vod na provozování kanalizační soustavy a čistírny odpadních vod
Lysák, Martin
This thesis deals with current issues in the discharge of waste water from the urbanized area. The main aim is to evaluate the impact of rainwater on the existing unified sewerage system and the wastewater treatment plant in Brno. The theoretical part includes a brief assessment of the current state of the sewerage system of the city of Brno and the basic concepts as well as their use in everyday practice. The practical part focuses on monitoring the quantity and quality of rainwater in the sewage system at the wastewater treatment plant in Brno. These indicators have a direct impact on the safe operation of the sewerage system and wastewater treatment plants within the urban drainage. From this perspective, the work is focused on the evaluation of substance rainwater pollution discharged from busy traffic roads, both in the case of using of a single sewerage system for wastewater treatment and using a separate sewerage system that water to the recipient. To evaluate the function of the municipal sewerage system during extreme precipitation when the sewerage system is overloaded and wastewater overflows over the strain into the recipient. The contribution of the construction of one of the newly implemented retention basins was assessed. At the end of the sewerage system, ie.at the wastewater treatment plant, there were monitored changes in material composition, as well as the quantity and temperature of the influent wastewater during precipitation events, which affect the individual cleaning processes. In the conclusion, there is made an overall evaluation of the impact of precipitation water on drainage system of the city of Brno and its wastewater treatment plant. At the same time, there are evaluated newly designed concepts of drainage with respect to the already implemented measures for minimizing the impact of operational activities of sewerage system on the environment, especially the measures that aim to reduce the bag load of recipient.
